I love how you mention one game but want to ignore 5. WHY? because it fits your argument but the fact is Flutie was not playing great football and got benched for the playoff game, maybe in retrospect he should have been benched sooner. Either way it doesn't matter we lost, was it because of RJ? Flutie stared at me and walk by. Neither QB turned out to be worth a s#it. But at that time of the game, if any QB was going to be the QB of the future it was RJ. Younger, bigger, better arm. Had to give him a chance. It was pretty clear by that time Flutie was NOT going to get them very far. Had to roll the dice. And, perhaps surprisingly, he left the field with seconds left, with the lead.
