They would never offer a high enough pick and we don't have another option on the roster to fill the role. First point is true- most people in the game might not even be in the league in one week, yet that somehow is a gauge on how he will perform in a regular season game. Second point is so wrong . He's had 2 good games in his career and has played well this preseason, but he shouldn't be the highest paid back up QB, that's bad money management. He doesn't have an arm and floats long passes, which will work playing 2nd & 3rd string players who don't game plan for ya. JMO. He's made four touchdown passes that I thought were really quite good throws (regardless of the competition). Two to Duke, one to Perry and one to Philips. I'd trade him for Jacobi Brissett tho. A backup QB is pretty valuable, so the Bills would have to go out and get one after trading Barkley. Barkley seems like a nice fit for the Bills. From the Colts perspective, Barkley doing well in the preseason is hardly a predictor of franchise QB type success. There will be some interesting names out there after the cuts, if they want to take a chance on someone. They probably would be best off struggling through this season and drafting someone next year.
