Generally that stuff is not fixable at this level, those kinds of off throws will likely plague his career. He could have set his feet, he didn't, game lost. They said the same things about Mahomes, so..... He made a tough throw, it came up a bit short, but if Clay doesn’t stumble forward it’s the game winning TD on an improbable play that few QB’s in the league could make. I’m not predicting the future, but I’m very encouraged with what I saw from Allen today. He took the offense on his shoulders. I didn’t love all the running, but he wants to win and he was smart about sliding or stepping OB. That’s worked in Seattle with a much smaller QB. The games with big money, they knew how to get to the refs. In game comms were also fair game. They paid off ANYONE they had to to effect the outcome in their favor. Games like today make me think about our long conversations. I had the same bad ju ju after last years Patricheats game Christmas Eve. Remember the Kelvin Benjamin "non-catch?" It's amazing that with essentially every ref on the take (they would have to be since they all rotate to different games), only your friend (outside of the wise guys) seems to be aware of this.... I watch plenty of games and that wasn't the best throw with the game on the line and Allen knows it as anyone with eyes does to. Catchable sure as already stipulated. Really he had no time in the pocket had to dodge the rush immediately and keep doing it to a ridiculous degree. Manages to heave the ball within range of a receiver well after the plays broken down for a first down maybe a TD and because it's not far enough to make the play super easy for the receiver it's his fault? How much effort is reasonable to expect from a receiver? And of course as a leader, teammate, and a rookie QB Allen is going to take and probably actually blame himself on that play for not lasering in so it actually got stuck in Clays helmet.

I'm a right Josh guy but there were some throws he'll need to learn from. Allen needs to hit a wide open Jones in the end zone and\or a wide open Foster for a TD. Those are pretty easy throws for an NFL quarterback. He makes some great throws and then misses wide open receivers. It is concerning. If if he completes those two passes, we win easily. Also, what about the missed xtra point ? Haushka makes that and we only need a field end at the to send it to OT. KennyDavisEyes
Clay cannot be on the back end of the end zone as Allen is winding up to throw there. Allen is running around backwards and navigating through traffic just to get the ball off.... but Clay is somehow still on the back line of the end zone? I don’t get it. Maybe all his “vet days off” mean he’s never practiced the scramble drill.

The idea that he "deserves" to celebrate is just bizarre and its THE reason that undisciplined teams lose games. Why do players need to celebrate every single good play? Why do fans think that excessive celebrations are good? I like football because I like the plays, not the ***** that happens afterward. I have been watching since the 60's and believe me the game is not better because of all the celebrations. It is worse. The officiating was not consistent today and I think it was very poor overall. Still … I want players that understand not do stupid things. Jordan did something stupid. My problem with the game is that there were two hits on Allen, after the Jordan penalty, that were worse than what Jordan did, and they did not get called. In a league that is supposed to protect QBs this was completely inconsistent. Regardless, Jordan was wrong and he hurt the team.
