Putting this here since the Donner Party appears intent on making 'socialism' one of their leading promises for 2020.

Pelosi's going to end up switching parties, if she believes that.

And I'll still ***** hate her.

There must be a crapload of money to be made by being this stupid.

But the left is never short of people like this, who will cater to their darkest base in order to pull in a couple of million bucks before bowing out of the 2020 race.

Like saying you'd take out ISIS's family members, bringing back something worse than waterboarding, or calling for a complete Muslim ban during the primaries.  Policies you know will never come to fruition.  I really don't want to hear Republicans cry about Democrats catering to their darkest base.

Bernie is a massive hypocrite! When asked during the Town Hall Meeting why he didn’t voluntarily pay more in taxes he refused to answer the question. That tells you everything you need to know. I’m done listening to this old fart. What a false profit!

I have my doubts on Bernie's real, legitimate interest in being President, especially at his age.

I think he realizes he's got a lucrative business plan concept in running for President with other people's money and then doing lots of speeches where people pay him money to talk.

Ditto for Warren, O'Rourke, Harris.  None of the candidates have that deeply rooted obsession with the Presidency that the Clintons had nor the "let's change the world" idealism that Obama had.

That being said, Trump is 100% no different.  I think he fully expected to lose to the Clinton machine, turn around and make lots of money writing books, doing rallies and "Statler and Waldorf"-ing President Hillary Clinton for four years.

FIFY.

Trump has never expected to lose anything. He had an election strategy, followed it and won.

So now you only vote for people that voluntarily pay extra taxes?  Gonna be a short list.

Shoulda said he doesn't pay more taxes because he's smart.

That somewhat belies his 'rich people should pay more to afford all of this free crap I'm promising' schtick.

the plan is that the enlightened brilliant people like AOC and HIllary and Bernie take power, then they instruct us on the perfect way to life, by force or murder if we won't listen

then they step aside and we all share in this glorious utopia

better to let people live their life in freedom of their own chosen goals and under their freedom of conscience, where it is acceptable, and stay the heck out of our lives

Pete Buttiguieg, an affluent white man, voluntarily became a reservist in the military and was deployed to Afghanistan for 7 months.

Donald Trump, an affluent white man, used his affluence to dodge the draft.

Buttiguieg lives Greatness.

Donald Trump lies about how great he is.

I don't think Buttiguieg is a viable candidate because he's gay and I don't think America is ready for that, but he'd be a much better President than Trump.

I see this place is still overrun with negativity.

The only reason you think this guy matters is because he diddles other men. Period. He's the mayor of a fifteenth-rate city in Indiana. He has fewer qualifications for president than Barack Obama did, and that's saying something.

Beto's getting smacked for this all over the place today. *shrug* It's their money, they can do with it as they like. The hypocrisy comes in with wanting to use my money for projects and programs he likes.

I love how charitable deductions has become the virtue of the moment.

They really are the Donner Party.

"I don't need to donate money because I'm already neglecting my kids to be with you" is precisely the kind of stupidity we're going to munch on for weeks when the debates begin.

Not just charity.  Charitable deductions.  Literally, assuming charity doesn't count unless it's on your tax return.

It's just not charity unless you're using the donation to reduce your tax liability!

https://news.yahoo.com/anti-gay-protesters-shout-sodom-122601411.html

Mayor Pete starts his bid for national attention by inventing a spat with Mike Pence, then suddenly anti-gay protestors start repeatedly showing up at his rallies to make noise, giving him an opportunity to make a quotable quip.

Gee, this doesn't smell fishy at all. Clearly he's not going out of his way to repeatedly remind everyone that he's gay, and therefore 'woke' in the current identity politics/virtue signaling/victim derby.

$3.50 says that his surrogates attack anyone who points out his first gaffe as being 'homophobic'.

The media and PTB gaslighted the public into voting an unknown into office 12 years ago, now they're trying to see if they can do it again.
