He's always had legit injury concerns and no ability to escape the pocket and run away, but he's been generally considered as good at moving within the pocket. Didnt appear to have any leadership qualities when things were going bad snd progressively got worse. Even his "I was being soft" interview was horrid. H2o Posted October 19, 2018 Share Posted October 19, 2018 Rookie QB's are going to have bad games, a simple fact. You also don't write a guy off after some bad games in his first year as an NFL QB. It's flat out stupid to do so. I don't know what NFL you have been watching over your lifetime, but guys don't usually come fresh out of college looking like Elway, Favre, Rodgers, Brees did in their 5th year starting in this league. They have each shown flashes of the potential that got them drafted in the first round. Each has also struggled at times with mechanics, accuracy, reading defensive coverages, and making good decisions. Allen and Rosen in particular have had to deal with very limited offensive talent around them. There seem to be a number of posters that want to declare with some level of certainty, how good or bad any given QB of the 4 is going to be based on very limited criteria at this point - and many of those posters display little consistency in evaluating those criteria among all 4 QBs. I see 4 rookies who are playing much like the vast majority of rookies before them. I have no idea which, if any, will develop into true franchise caliber QBs. It will be a while before we know.
