You, quite specifically, don't get the opportunity to bother me much at all.  You'll note that I don't respond to you often anymore.

That's because I have you on ignore, along with less than a handful of other useless posters and trolls who bring down the quality of the community, like gatorman/Tiberius.

If we're being completely forthright, however, you used to get under my skin.

I take strong issue with bright people who are content to behave stupidly, and are intellectually lazy.  That's who you are here, and I have no patience or time for people who aspire to be less than the sum of their parts.

Do better.

I.e., "You're an idiot."

To summarize:  tax cuts are bad, Marxism is good, and conservatives are all secret racists.

What a refreshingly novel take.

I'm pretty sure you don't understand that story.

So instead of replying to the content, we're quibbling about the TRUE story of a MYTHICAL figure? That's rich.

You let me know about that time in the 20th/21st century when massive tax cuts didn't precede an epic collapse, chief.

I'm sorry, you seem to have me confused with someone who cares what abject morons think.

There are posters here who might be willing to engage with you and your myopic and infantile "analysis", but I'm not one of them.

Going forward, please understand that if I choose to comment on any part of anything you've said, it's only to illustrate something for the rest of the board, not a direct reply to you.

I don't play in the mud.

Take care.

you are very insulting and obnoxious on here, even by the usual fun and potshots we take here in good nature....

not sure why you find this kind of reply edifying

I guess he broke up with me. I didn't even realize we were dating!

The man did make a pretty strong case though.

I will take a moment to respond to you this one additional time as a courtesy.

Do not expect the courtesy to be repeated unless/until you can demonstrate that your posts are worth reading.

As I told you before, I don't have time to spare for people who strive to be less than the sum of their parts; and I have zero respect or tolerance for liars and the intellectually lazy.

If you want to be treated better than shabby, then be better than shabby.

Further, you haven't been here long enough to make any sort of critiques regarding "what we do here".

In fact, since you arrived the quality of "what we do here" has been diminished by your presence.

Do better.

He's being sarcastic.  Par for the course for another useless poster who adds zero value.

My point about Robin Hood being misunderstood by leftists who look to him as a variety of folk hero, is that he wasn't robbing from the rich.  He was robbing from tax collectors and crooked government officials, and returning the money to those whom government was abusing.

I thought even the Disney cartoon made that point clear.  Back when the Robin Hood story was created there was no justifiable way to accumulate vasts amount of wealth whereas today's  marketplace allows people to become wealthy and benefit society simultaneously.

Correct.

My purpose in point that out was that it's often misrepresented.

Ted Kennedy was such an inspiring person he even baptized Mary Jo all by himself, and didn't even try to take credit for it.

One of the few to be expelled for copying his exam off someone even dumber than he was.

Empowered them, lifted them up indeed. With what - his rooster?

By his own admission, Ted slept with over 1,000 women. That makes him a licentious pig of a person in my view. Stormy Daniels probably slept with fewer people.

INSIDE EVERY LIBERAL IS A TOTALITARIAN SCREAMING TO GET OUT: No Straw Man Here: The Mask Slips in Santa Barbara.

A little noticed detail in Santa Barbara’s recent drive to criminalize plastic straws, which culminated in the Santa Barbara city council taking testimony from a nine-year-old about the planetary menace, has come to light in recent days. During that council session, councilman Jesse Dominguez said to following in response to citizens who asked “what’s next?”:

Unfortunately, common sense is just not common. We have to regulate every aspect of people’s lives.”

Take that one in for a moment, for it expresses the core impulse of liberalism today.

As a famous lady once said, “We’re going to take things from you on behalf of the common good.”

I went up against Santa Barbara County Council on an environmental issue and won it for my company. Those people are crazy though.

I love how he tries to explain that the words he said weren't really the words he said, but words that were not interpreted as he thought he meant to say what he didn't say.

Typical far left nutbag: you're too stupid to take care of yourself, so we will take care of the way you think.

surely he didn't use his power and influence to bag any of those babes.

This does remind me of when I was in college though.  I used to hang out with some women friends with out benefits and they would talk about how they wanted to date guys who were not just after one thing and respected them as a person etc.  You know, like me but they weren't interested in dating.  I'd also hang out with the guys.  Some of the guys they did date.  they were the biggest pigs in the room.

Funny how that works..

Always used to enjoy that.  "Why are guys such jerks.  I wish I could find a guy just like you."

"Well...I'm just like me.  Wanna make out?"

"No."

"You...you're not seeing the irony here?  Really?"

Honestly I was the same way and still Respect women but it is just so much easier knowing how ridiculous society has created them and use it to divide and conquer.

Well... she ain't wrong about the Democrats not having an actual message.

I was gonna say...on this point she is correct. They have no message beyond yelling at people in restaurants, throwing their feces at people, and calling people who disagree with them 'racists.'

They'll fix this at some point, but as long as the voice of the party are people like Tibs, baskin, 34 and 26, the DNC will only be the party of all meltdown, no message.

She has a good point that we can find money to attack other countries without provocation resulting in the death of million, Not to mention all the more We spend and will continue to spend over the next 40 years on the people that got their legs blow off or got PTSD.

Still doesn't explain  where we'll get thE money from.  Unless it's we've screwed up badly in the pAst so late just keep doing it.

I also find it interesting she says Rs have been winning for the last 10 years.  I guess passing the ACA, the D's plum issue, and winning 2 out of the last 3 prez elections does not count as "winning".

if the Bills win 67% of their games (11-5) this year, PLAYOFFS !!

This reminds me of joke I read in Willie Nelson's book Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die

A man whose favorite food in the whole world is Chocolate Chip Cookies was in a coma for weeks.   The doctors thought he was going to die.  They told the family.  Then, the man wakes up.  He smells coming down the hall the smell of his favorite food, Chocolate  Chip Cookies.  He gets up and stumbles down the hall to a room where the smell is coming from.  On a table is a big plate of freshly backed Chocolate Chip Cookies.  He reaches down to grab one.  Then his wife slaps him on the hand and says "NO, those are for the funeral."
