Royale with Cheese
If you are still feeling a little stung like I still do, I’d advise listening to this segment. Palmer will talk up Allen. Eventually I’ll come around on Allen, this will probably help. 1

He also said 'if' approximately 73 times in 4 minutes.

He's not unbiased so of course he'll put a positive spin on Allen just as he did in every interview prior to the draft. He's 100% self interested with Allen as a high profile client.

Tatonka68
When Allen played with the same level of talent that he has in the Senior Bowl he passed for 9 of 13 (69%) for 158 yards and 2 TDs. dlonce
Love this interview. He just explained Josh’s completion percentage. Watched all the tape because he thought it was very low for college. He came to two conclusions why. Wyomings offense didn’t predicate gimme passes, bubble screens, etc. And He didn’t have receivers who were open or wide open, unlike the other QBs offenses. Palmer said if Wyoming had employed those short gimmies and screens then he estimated Allen to be around 62% accuracy.

Certainly teams checked his tape, watched in person and came to the same conclusion because he was being talked about in high regard. There are no area code misses in his repertoire. Jerry Jabber
After every top QB the Bills have taken since Jim Kelly retired, there’s always people that will talk up the player. WGR did the same thing with Nate Peterman before the Chargers game as they had one of Peterman’s old coaches on air.

I love the pick, but we better get some top receivers for him to throw to, that get open. That could be a problem with this team. I'm guessing a WR in the 3rd and then a bunch of quality ones as UDFAs.

This is giving me some positive thoughts , because he did play on a terrible team and that can be tough to evaluate. I'm still skeptical , but there are good things here. It's ridiculous to campare Allen to an EJ Manuel, who absolutely no one had as any kind of first round talent in any category. Kiper had zero QBs going in the first round in his final mock that year. His own colleg coach questioned his ability. That comparison ( which is going around on the board) is hyperbole at its finest .

greeneblitz
Well I do know one thing consistently before the draft I sense he sees Josh Allen as a better prospect than Darnold, he always seems to light up more when talking about him. Thats just my take. 3 minutes ago, LabattBlue said: ^^^ This. It was like a Josh Allen infomercial. lol But every single person that works with Josh says the exact same things, Trent Dilfer says the same stuff, his Senior Bowl coaches, college coaches all say the same.
