Top 10, so they give 11? I know carr struggled to play QB in the NFL, didn't realize he also struggled counting to 10?

He explained why he put an 11th player, actually.

I think it's interesting he has Chase listed as the 6th most pursuit worthy QB with Allen, Darnold, Mayfield all falling below him and then the last two. Chase Daniel has not been a name thrown around much in the last year or two, and it would be interesting if the Bills were to sign him as the position holder for the Drafted guy, unless Chase wanted a 5 or 6 year deal worth starter money.

I think it is simply a list, not a ranking, as I read it

Sweet , McCarron is better than all but one draft pick, git'er done (now we know why Carr flamed out)

It's a ranking. The write-up of Josh Allen indicates that he "might be at the very top of this list" if he were just comparing physical ability alone. Add that to the fact that he has Brees and Cousins at the top, and the fact that if it was just a list, it would make sense to organize all free agents vs draft prospects together, yet he has them mixed. Finally, he describes Josh Rosen as the "most pro ready" and has him as the highest draft prospect in the list.

In retrospect, this isn't a big deal and I can't believe I just spent time writing that. I'll let myself out...

Blew as an NFL QB, now we know he has no GM future. Chase Daniel, spare me.

If the Jets or Browns are willing to give Brees $40 mil a year at age 39, shouldn't he take that and run?

It depends upon what he wants

Brees has reportedly earned $181,000,000 in his career - #3 in the NFL for QB.

In Sept 2012, he signed a 5 year, $100M deal.  Might not be entirely an accident that the Saints have seen four 7-9 seasons and until this year, missed the playoffs for 3 years.  Yes, they made some poor player and coaching decisions, but they also were in a helluva cap bind.

Brees has a decision to make - does he want a better legacy with more playoffs and perhaps another SB win or two?

Or does he want to become the $200M man

This is definitely a list ranking the best QB options and I have no idea how anyone could see it differently

when it comes to fas's such as brees, cousins and mac carron, i think buffalo could be an attractive landing spot as they may not be all about the money, but a good place for their families, a contending playoff team and a chance to really make a legacy for themselves. i think foles falls into this category as well even though philly would have to let him go. mc beane just may be able to entice one of these guys. don't be surprised.

i would rather they do something with one of these guys then get in a draft day war and give up the farm. other than brees, one of these other guys would give us 5 yrs. to develop future qbs....and nate will be fine as a frank reich type of backup.

we may end up as a wc next year, but for the first time in ages, we will not have to use mathematical equations and prayers to get in. we will be solid.

keenum will be going for the bucks, bradford will be looking for a more established coach and team (in probably a warmer climate)and daniels is a backup period.

Not if he's more interested in winning another Super Bowl Ring before his career is over.

It would be interesting to see if Brees is influenced by the Broncos magic that he believes he is the most vital ingredient for Denver.  Jets might be better than you think with Brees but would have been better a few years ago with Mangold and Ferguson still around.

....he alleges "not to be going anywhere or testing FA"......TRANSLATION: "as long as Saints pay me what I think I'm worth"........he's a "ME boy" first and has put the Saints in cap discomfort before with his demands.....

I agree with you for the large part. I just wonder if he has seen some of the light in respect of having better players around him. I think he will still get big bucks, but he might just actually consider something of a 'hometown discount' this time.

I will say one thing, and that is his attitude to getting paid the last time around, would have seen him 'moved on' from quite a few teams, the Cheatriots being one that springs to mind, as Belicheck wouldn't have compromised his ability to put together a team, over the demands of one player.

It honestly would be a shame, given how good he has been over the course of his career, if Bree's only got to the Super Bowl once.

Yes, his cap number is high and it probably has been hard onNew Orleans over the years.  However, the Saints have been more fortunate to have him than the other way around.

I wonder where Taylor would be on this list? I'm guessing he might bump Teddy out of the 11 spot.
