But I agree with this...If it was Patriots. wed still be listening to every single member of the team talking.

True fact:

Most every year, The Super Bowl is the most watched TV show of the year. The number 2-3-4 shows are usually the show imediately after the Super Bowl like This is Us this year, the Super Bowl pregame show, and the NFC Championship game two weeks before. That's how big the NFL is. The network that broadcasts the game always plays up their top show they can run after the game because of this, and the after effects to that show's viewership is usually enormous.

It's clearly the wrong time to be against Foles.

He wasn't mistreated. He was bad for 2 years after his 27/2 years. Fisher has proven to be a qb killer, but the year after 27/2, he was bad. In the same system.

he had 2 complete yrs before this one. One he was great and the other he was treated poorly. The other yrs were too choppy to make a judgment

If I remember correctly, they used to play Survivor after the SB.

They are over the cap.  But if I'm Philly, I hang on to Foles until I know Wentz is 100%.  Chances are strong some team will have a QB injury and be calling to trade a la Bradford

And what did they get for Bradford?

Look under the hood more.

yeah probbly right.....anyway evefryone should wait til the glow is over to make a move here.At least it opens up another possiblity. No way TT could ever have done what Foles did in these playoffs. Most QBs couldnt have had that kind of a run. And we all know he had the potential after that 27/2 season

Neither Foles nor Wentz have big contracts anyway, they won't get a lot of savings either way.

So does this mean that Belichick isn't as hands on the D as one would expect?  Sounds like a lot hinges on who the defensive coordinator is vs a plug and play scheme that Belichick established.

He isn't usually, he is much more hands off on O obviously but the last time he really was in on the D was years ago with a coordinator who shall not be named (he went on to head coach the Jets)

OK.  They got to wait until they had Wentz in hand and had a readout on how ready he was

When the dust settled they got a 1st round pick, and Jay Ajayi

Insurance policy + First round pick just before season + eventually durn fine backup RB

Whomever has the rights that year will play one of if not their top show, to get that huge rating and audience. 18 years ago or so, whenever Surviver started, it was only three networks that split it, so every three years had the rights (CBS, FOX, ABC). Now there are four, with NBC). So Survivor would have been seen a couple times after the game, yes.

Well I thought so.  But I learned here that you mess up the team if you tailor your offensive scheme to the skills of your starting QB.

Well, we learned that if you can't even recognize the strengths and weaknesses of your starting QB, let alone tailor your scheme to them, you'll get fired and replaced with someone who is hopefully less oblivious.

I guess Tom Brady supposedly didn't even shake Nick Foles hand after the game. Went to the locker room instead.

Glad the Eagles won, but I thought I saw Brady congratulating Foles on the field after the game. Fair is Fair. Of course express co uk is a typical Murdoch tabloid quality gutter press.

Foles said in his post  game presser he was looking for Brady after the game and "it got real crazy real fast out there", so it sounds as though the two QB didn't meet up.

I don't see where it's a huge deal either way, though - it's not like there's a formal thing where the opponents face off after the game and they snubbed each other, at best they would be trying to find each other in a huge mob
