BringMetheHeadofLeonLett
So, today is the anniversary of Keith Moon's death. Just one of those things I never forget. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCKaVHgJyAM Didn't think I'd like the drummer/commentator guy, but did, and he had a couple nice thoughts along the way too- it makes sense, Moon was interpreting everyone's role in the entire song as he played along... he totally did. I also liked the line about having a 106 piece band, 102 of which were K. Moon haha. ) 9/7/78 Edited September 7, 2017 by BringMetheHeadofLeonLett

Gugny
she was awesome! Had dinner with a couple buddies last night. We spoke about how special Amy Winehouse really was. A true throwback. I can only hope someone else comes along soon with the same amount of talent. I have yet to find anyone who even comes close (with this style of music). The Poojer
not quite the same but Lake Street Dive's Rachel Price has that classic style of singers. Plus she is very easy on the eyes. Kelly the Dog
if you haven't already, watch the Sound City documentary Dave Grohl did....absolutely fascinating story about a small recording studio(and soundboard) that put out some of the most iconic music ever Great doc. That place is about a mile from me. Grohl is such a great guy.
Kelly the Dog
This was the last celebrity death that brought me to tears .... I was hired to write a project on the 27 Club last year and had to do a schit ton of research. Amy Winehouse was the only one I didn't know much about and immediately I was completely enamored. What an amazing talent. Crazy person but her voice and songwriting were insane. When she got her first introduction to music people, she was about 15 and one of her friends asked her to record a demo, a duet with him, for some A&R guys. They listened to it and called him up and asked who the old black woman was he did the duet with. Ha. A lot of people have such a distorted viewpoint of her. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. And man ... that voice. The world lost a good one when she passed. There's some great stuff on the posthumous release, "Lioness: Hidden Treasures." If you haven't checked it out, it's a must. I just hope there's more stuff out there.

Kelly the Dog
There's no video. Yeah I saw the doc on some music channel. It's like an hour long. Maybe an hour and a half. Not sure where to find it. It's called Amy Winehouse - One Shining Night. This little church in this tiny town in Ireland once a year convinces some singer to come play there. In the church. It only fits like 50 people. And she decided to accept their offer. It's really cool.

SinceThe70s
I'm new to this band (they've been around for awhile), but I like them. Not breaking any new ground, but if you like any combination of Black Keys, Ozzy/Sabbath, The Cult, Cinderella,...might be worth checking out
