Dragonborn10
I can't believe this is the opening day roster. O'Leary has no business on the 53 man roster. I think it is crazy only going with 7 O-lineman. I liked Red Bryant over Carrington though I would have kept both. My bet is they sign a G-C and cut O'Leary or Gragg. Then bring back Bryant and get rid of one these three - Hogan/Goodwin/Brown by trade for low end draft pick. What say you?

I have mentioned multiple times already but I think you stash 3-4 OL on the enhanced practice squad and then dress all 7 every week. Those 8th or 9th OL are usually the worst players at their job on either O or D. Practice squad is a roster spot saver for OL. Love Red Bryant but not sure Rex wants to commit to a stationary NT. My bet is that there are at least 2-3 different guys on this roster by opening day. Only one I'd trade is Hogan.

We got a good guard in the draft by the looks of things. Our O-line was so bad last yeae you could make a case for taking linemen with every pick but we did have a few other needs as well. The final 53 is still very much in flux...more moves will be made either by trade or waiver wire pickups; that's why the Bills got down to 51 today - to give themselves the flexibility to add depth. I'd agree that OL after the starting 5 is an area of big concern. I have faith Rex & Doug are all over it, and Doug is working the phones.

Wood was bad last year. If he stinks again then they will draft a C in the first or second round. Of course that will depend on what happens with Glenn too.Seems pretty last minute to be looking for O-line depth at final cut down? Agree. They probably thought Richardson would develop though. NewEra
Kinda shocked/pissed we cut Bryant. I thought he was a perfect addition. Not sure why anyone wants a 5th TE. I'd rather have Bryant than O'leary/Gragg. Who keeps or needs 5 TEs? We have a very good starter that will be here for years to come. We have a blocking Specialist in mulligan and 3 smaller type TEs filling 3-5. I see a few more moves happening before opening day. 5 TEs is nutso imo. Hopefully mulligan can play guard/tackle/center too. 7 OL is risky business with a complicated offense
Jamie Nails
As it stands, we're really thin on the lines in terms of depth. Thankfully they have versatile guys backing-up, but I'd rather have another solid lineman on both sides than 7 wrs (8 counting thigpen) and 5 tes. Hopefully those two spots go to the line tomorrow. Surprised to see Big Red get cut

I honestly think O'Leary is going to practice squad....maybe some games to get him there and not get picked up? And Gragg? That guy has looked very good this offseason.......I think he is gonna get playing time

maryland-bills-fan
They are going to use a lot of 2 and 3 TE sets, so they will use the TE more than most teams. Also, I wonder if we may see one of the TE's playing a backfield position, either as an extra blocker or the second string fullback. Maybe O'leary is headed to the practice squad with a later waiver after other teams have picked their PS players and adjusted their rosters? Hapless Bills Fan
Seems pretty last minute to be looking for O-line depth at final cut down? If you aren't happy with your OL depth, when do you suggest you look? It's not like people are cutting quality OLmen in the middle of July. We missed on the guys we wanted in FA, and we drafted Miller in the 3rd who looks "Money" so far. If the guys you've got aren't getting it done, next opportunity is to comb through the roster cutdowns. I said it last year and I'll say it again. We should have taken a G\C with our first pick in the draft. OK - who did you want who was still there at Pick 50? http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2015/draft.htm Yeah, we suck. Instead of listening to you, they drafted one in the 2nd 3rd round who's starting. When will they ever listen to you... Fixed. Miller our 2nd pick, but drafted in 3rd round. Mitch Morse would have been cool. Ali Marpet would have been cool. Laken Tomlinson would may have been worth trying to move up for. Honestly, if I were the Bills I think I'd have drafted all O Linemen for the last 10 years. I strongly believe in the idea that big men win football games. And maybe would have given that first round QB we have, what's his name again, may have given him a better start to his career. It's more than well documented the impact of a great LT is to an offense, and a QB's performance. But interior linemen, and synergy between a center and a QB can be so key to a potent offense. The running game, and just scoring points, which is all we want to see. I'd love to see the Blls average 27-28 points a game, someday. Last year was murder... djp14150
Don't be surprised yo see buffalo using multiple 2-3 TE formations where they use Clay as a slot receiver. The likely use a TE in a FB role on some plays.

Dragonborn10
Ok so they added a C and DT. I would add another OLB and get rid of O'Leary. I would rather have IK on 53 man roster over O'Leary. When Marcell comes back do they keep Fluellen and his vested salary or let him go? I would rather carry an extra DT, kick Carrington to DE, and reduce TE's to four.
LeGOATski
Does anyone think the offense is going to show more spread formations than what we saw in preseason? That would help explain keeping a greater variety/depth of pass-catchers, at least early on.
