Results don’t matter but 2 weeks in a row the team comes out completely flat. Effort shouldn’t be hard. That tripping penalty on first drive was inexcusable. Cut that dude

Week 1 picks for the 2018 NFL Season
zow2 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not predicting every game,, but if I had to do a survival pick, I'd probably take Baltimore followed by Pittsburgh. I think week 1 is going to be very tough for the Bills. -
I saw somewhere he's trying to play through a broken rib he suffered in the 1st preseason game. If so that's rough. But yeah i hope he makes it. Seems like a solid WR if given some opportunities.

After a few calls over the course of three weeks, the final tally is $16.50 off NFL ST Max for 6 months, and $50 credit for 12 months. Of course I'm always happy to get a break on the bill but it's nowhere near the credits/discounts/freebies I used to get. The AT&T crew has definitely clamped down on all the giveaways.

Ian Rapoport: "Josh Allen is not quite ready" to start
zow2 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Ravens put the beat down on us regardless of who starts. And I'll be there...and hope I'm wrong. I agree. Ravens home opener. It will be very loud and a hostile environment. Not the place for a rookie to get his first start behind a leaky O-line. There will also be communication problems all over the place. The rookie has NOT outplayed Peterman in the preseason, but the rook does have a lot more god given physical talent going forward. I'd Give Nate the start in Bmore. If he surprises everyone and does well, then great, that's a bonus. If he flops on his face then so be it. It won't be a shocker i suppose. If that plays out, it would be easy and justified for McD to come back with Allen on Sept. 16th at New Era Field. His first start, at home, in the friendly confines. THAT is setting him up for success. -
Peterman will never live down the 5-pick half . . .
zow2 replied to Dr. K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And this is why i say that Sean McDermott's one HUGE mistake in his tenure was leaving Peterman in there for 5 INT's. Even if not all his fault, I was shouting at the TV to yank Peterman out of the game after the 3rd INT. You just knew it was snowballing against Nate that day. McD didn't have his finger on the pulse of that one. And I agree, the 5-INT game will stick around Peterman. -
The line stunk, but Allen didn’t show any command of the offense to zip the ball quickly to the hot read. He held on to the ball too long and made poor line play look even worse. So with that, the kid needs time to learn and process. But all the tools are there physically,,,, As I’ve said for a couple weeks, start Peterman vs. Baltimore. If he surprises everyone then that’s great, if he flops it’s easier to come back with Allen in the home opener and a friendly environment

Oh jeez, every pic I’ve seen of this murderer he’s wearing Bills gear. Ugh, not what we need to see as an association to our team. Sad sad day. -
Why Does The National Media Want To See Josh Allen Fail?
zow2 replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen has already outperformed my expectations of what he would look like... purely based on “expert” opinions and pre-draft analysts. So I guess that’s a good thing. He looks like a real QB and not the least bit mentally overwhelmed by NFL players coming at him. Seems to love his job too -
Some guys like Chad Kelly need a preseason game or two to shine, and show what they can do under the bright lights. Conversely, his teammate and high pick- Paxton Lynch, need some games to show he can’t cut it. But i agree for the most part, have 2 preseason games and the rest of evaluations can be done through joint scrimmages and camp.

Jaguars at Vikings on NFL Network

Cousins looked like poop. -
The haters will hate, but Peterman will be playing some football this year for the Buffalo Bills, maybe even game 1. Obviously the future is Allen., and he will also be playing this season. i root for Nate. Even the national media and opponents fans continue to snicker when he plays. Like he’s the worst QB ever. I’d like to see him get some redemption.
-
Start Peterman vs. Baltimore. I think both QBs would have a very tough time in that game. If Peterman surprises and pulls off a good game or a W then bring him back vs. SanDiego. If he fails (like 95% of people think he will).. then it’s easy to have Josh start his first game at home.
-
Allen wasn’t the incompetent, bumbling, inaccurate fool I was half expecting him to be....based on some of the “experts”. He definitely has some tools and didn’t look overwhelmed out there. Kinda saw a little Carson Wentz in his game. All in all, he won’t be starting right away but the future looks good.

The discounts on my bill have been rolling over for at least 5 years now, which I appreciate, but doesn't lower the price of NFL. So my bill for the next 6 months is still $65 higher than it is now. I got ST Max last year for $99. That would make me a happy customer again. But it seems like that is no longer an option w AT&T. It's possible calling back in mid-August will open up more discounts, we'll see.
-
Ugh, the guy who i spoke with was a tool. I even asked to be transferred to customer retention, and he was like "there's no point in transferring you, no other person can offer anything differently than I can". So after saying i will need to drop the NFL Ticket since it's too expensive he was like OK- i can do that right now. (I'm a 20-year subscriber but he didn't acknowledge that). Before he cancelled me, i made a last ditch attempt and asked if there were any loyalty discounts? He said he could offer me $50/mo for 12 months. I happily accepted that to get off the phone w him. But still paying $65.99 for 6 months for NFL. I will call back and hope to get a nicer person, which i think is the key to the whole thing.

Wouldn't surprise me if Peterman gets a start. People focus on the Chargers game but he was playing really well in the Indy snow game until he took that ill-fated slide. I expect Peterman to fall into a Frank Reich type role player someday. I don't think he will be THE MAN, but he will be a very capable #2 for someone and earn a few W's along the way.

I’m tired of McCoy and this drama queen ex-gf of his. Sorry she got hurt. Lots of shady (no pun intended) stuff going on and unanswered questions. It would not surprise me if either side orchestrated the home invasion. Nor would it surprise me if someone who knew them went rogue. hey moving on, how about Jordan Poyer and Rachel Bush? Seems the two have scrubbed each out of their Instagram pages and stories. What’s the dealio?

Can't imagine diving into harbor water at 6:00am ever... I don't even like going in water during the heat of the day. I wonder if there was some late night partying involved? In any event, just very sad and too young.

Are you consistent with your annual physical?
zow2 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Did one in Oct 2015 and then Oct 2017, so i guess i am on the every other year cycle. I'm just north of 50 and I noticed my bloodwork is not as perfect as it used to be so I'd better keep an eye on it. -
OC is pretty cool. They have all the activities you could want.. Beach, boardwalk, mini golf, go karts, fishing, site seeing boats, nice hotels, crappy hotels, endless beach rental condos/homes and restaurants. We rented a house in Rehoboth, DE a few years ago. That was the most crowded beach I've ever been on in my life. Never again, but it's a cool town to visit and go to dinner at. The best family location for us is Bethany. But it's pricey where we stay. It's a smaller, more family oriented area but really easy access to Ocean City and Rehoboth for a day/evening visit.

Bill's interested in working out Brandon Oliver.
zow2 replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched many of his games at UB. A couple of shifty moves but mainly a short-muscular north-south runner that gets hidden behind the huge linemen. Before the D finds him Oliver is usually 5 yards downfield.... or in college he was breaking away from the pack.
