I had McDermott’s back all last season and through camp but he’s starting to lose me. Just too much canned coach speak. He doesn’t have to throw his guys under the bus but be a little honest. And start having this team more prepared to play. Whats this, 3 or 4 blow outs in his short tenure? I don’t even think we had many bad blowouts in the Rex era. Thank you again Andy Dalton for ending the draught, because if not for him this thing might extend another decade.

At least there’s another fan base as upset as ours after week 1.

Not only does Darnold look good but I really like what the Jets have done. Good looking , aggressive defense. Some nice offensive weapons and a solid O-line. Other than when Darnold takes off he seems to have a good amount of time and a clean pocket. If you’re a NYJ fan you have to be excited about the future.

If the process is releasing players that look pretty good on the field but maybe not the perfect fit for “culture”, then the process stinks. You think everyone that John Harbaugh keeps on the Ravens is a choir boy?!? No. But he understands when you have to keep guys that straddle the line

I believe yesterday was a bit of a fluke

McD is getting pretty good at one thing in Buffalo. Having his team get blown out! But anyway, I'd go ahead and roll with Allen. You could see at the game yesterday, his passes have more velocity than Peterman and get there half second quicker which makes all the difference in the world. Allen's throws from the end zone view had that same look as Flacco's passes. It seems obvious, but when you see it in person the point gets hammered home that Allen has special physical talent. Now, when he can read a defense and have good pocket awareness he'll be a good QB, -
The Organizational Incompetence of the Buffalo Bills

I am really concerned. I get that they are trying to go all Cleveland Browns,,,get some high draft picks, clear out a bunch of cap space, get a franchise QB and have some time to groom him.. but a pretty good team is suddenly old and slow...and lacks talent all over the place. McD seems to get blown out a lot over 17 games. Does he even know how to prepare a team? -
McD has now been the head man over 3 maybe 4 of the worst blowout losses in recent memory. This man and his staff had better figure out how to elevate their team to at least be competitive. He sounds ridiculous after games like this talking about needing to see the film.

The Organizational Incompetence of the Buffalo Bills

Sean mcDermott in his tenure has now overseen 3 maybe 4 of some really bad blowout losses. Does this guy and his staff even have a clue? Just little stuff like keeping no hands Logan Thomas over Nicklaus’ grandkid. Or cutting your punter/holder for a guy that has never kicked in a game before. Or getting rid of valuable possession WRs. But most of all on game day he can’t seem to right the ship when things start going bad. My patience with McD has worn thin. -
I’m one of those people that didn’t think Peterman was as bad as he was perceived to be. Well I was wrong on that one. But I think it’s a little tough to say the Bills will rebound from this thrashing, to win next week with a rookie QB. But I will say he looked pretty good and at least could zip the ball in there when he threw it.

I recall Logan Thomas not snagging what would have been a first down. And KB dropping one. These receivers are crap

Been listening to the Ravens pregame show here in Bmore. The analyst being interviewed says the Bills have zero chance today and especially given the weather. Apparently Flacco and his big hands throws great in the rain. He says the Ravens have gotten better since the end of last season and Bills have gotten worse. And Since Bills are predicted to have fewest wins in the NFL, that’s another reason why Buf must suck. So there ya go. Keep raining and count us out.

About to drive up to Walmart to buy a decent poncho and then head to stadium lot. It’s ugly here. Steady rain, chilly and will be windy by afternoon. Rain supposed to be consistent all day.

Yep, I'll be there. And for those that haven't been to Baltimore's stadium in a while, they have started up fan-friendly concession pricing. So if the game goes bad, at least there's that. (cut and paste below) Stadium hot dogs and peanuts, both previously sold for $5, are now $3 each. Grilled hot dogs, once $6.50, are now $5. Stadium burgers, once $8.50, are now $6. An entree of chicken tenders and fries, once $11, is now $7. French fries, once $6, are now $3. Pizza, once $8.50, is now $6. Nachos, once $7.75, are now $5. Bavarian pretzels and regular popcorn, both previously sold for $5.25, are now $3 each. Soft pretzels, formerly $4.25, are now $2. Souvenir sodas (with one refill) are $5 each instead of $8. A large fountain soda, once $5.25, is now $3. A liter of bottled water, once $6.50, is now $4. A 20-ounce bottled water is $3, down from its original $4.75 price. The 12-ounce domestic packaged beer, a new offering, is $5. Domestic 16-ounce packaged and draft beers are $7 each, instead of $8.50. Premium packaged and draft beers, once $9.50, are now $8 each. Premium spirits, formerly $10, are now $9.

Can't say i disagree with Ravens fans. They look better than last season and the Bills look to be over-matched in this one unless the D shows up in a huge way. I like Peterman, I'm not a hater... I'm really hoping the guy can keep the chains moving and use some ball control offense to limit the Ravens chances.
-
Somehow, a playoff team from last year, losing their QB who led a feeble passing game...is now worse than 0-16 Cleveland? Maybe it's the O-line mess that has as much to do with that ranking as anything. The QB is a big ?? but if they can limit turnovers it's not going to be a complete disaster. I guess the pundits don't think Peterman or Allen can play at all.
-
I don't think Peterman is nearly as bad as he is perceived to be. He would probably have a W under his belt if he completed the Indy snow game. He was throwing well in that game, much better than the Indy QB...and had the Bills up 7-0. This Ravens game will be tough. I hope the coaching staff keeps it simple and Nate can get through the game without having it turn into a nightmare. If he can manage the game, keep the chains moving, stay out of trouble, that will go a long way towards confidence. Because of his past, The Ravens will be looking to jump every out route. Those DB's are going to try and feed off the LA Chargers film. Maybe our OC can dial up some plays where Peterman can burn the DB's, knowing they will be looking to jump up. Maybe some hitch and go routes or something...

Good move to start Nate in this one. It's also the right move. I really hope he can redeem himself. That being said, this is a brutal opener to the 2018 season. Honestly, with all the question marks on the Bills, I'll consider this game a success if we start the 4th quarter in a competitive game (within 7 points or less)....and Nate has thrown only 1 INT or none.

Josh is obviously the future, but hopefully this staff has the smarts to not put the kid in there for game #1. He and the offense were overwhelmed by Cincinnati's starting D-line just 5 days ago. He's not ready to go into a hostile environment and read a pro defense, have good communication in/out of the huddle, audible and execute at a high level. It's just not gonna happen in this game. Baltimore is back after a disappointing 2017. They will have a very good team this year. Their D is going to be playing with their hair on fire opening day. I think they'd still beat the Bills even if they started Lamar Jackson (which they won't). Do I think Nate Peterman will do well if he gets the start? I doubt it but I'd rather see him in there for this particular game than Allen. I think Nate has a year under his belt to notice pre-snap reads better than JA and to handle the difficult communication that will be required in a loud road stadium. If Peterman surprises people and plays well, then it's a nice bonus for everyone and the coaching staff will have a good situation on their hands. If he lays a big egg (like many will expect him to do)...then it's very justified and easy for McDermott to name Josh Allen the starter for the home opener vs. LA. I'd much rather see Allen get his first start in a friendly environment than on the road where he will literally have almost no chance to succeed.

Nice comeback W for AJ but I hope he never starts a real game for the Bills. He won the game with some timely first down scrambles and by taking two Personal foul penalties to his facemask/head area. His TD throw to Foster was real nice. On the flip side, he could not get away from the pass rush unless he bailed out real early...otherwise he was caught from behind by the big D-linemen. His eyes reading the field look slow and his passes lack any zip.
