  1. He looks useless thus far. Our wr's are the leagues worst group
  2. Only hope Fitz shows up when it counts. He's shown to be a so so practice QB but tends to be there when it matters.
  3. In order to score points this season, Bills going to have to execute perfect 10-12 play drives. Never gonna happen. No explosiveness.
  4. I like Lee. I think he'll do well in B-more but the Bills would not have had one more win or one less loss with him on the team this year. I support Buddy and Chan trying something different...it was time to change it up.
  5. Evans just caught a nice lob, timing pass from Flacco down the left sidelines. Looked like a 45 yard gain or so...
  6. Also, i believe his one INT was returned for a TD. Not good. Anyway, I was always in the camp that Ryan Mallett would be an excellent pro QB. I still think he will and I'm pissed that NE got him. If he didn't get picked by the Bills I hoped he would go to the NFC. I was surprised that the 49ers did not draft him. big mistake.
  7. That's it. Goodell needs to provide Buffalo and Cinci with compensatory 1st round draft picks to smoothe this over
  8. Goodell is a complete douche for steering Vick towards Philly.....thus away from Buffalo or Cinci. Should be looked at closely.
  9. Nice detailed update. I like Czabe but only hear him in the afternoons at his gig on 980 in Washington. He lives in Northern Virginia in the DC area. Fitz is always a down to earth interview.
  10. We just need Dareus to be healthy for week #1. DO whatever they need to do in preseason to make that happen...even if that includes sitting him.
  11. I can't imagine he will have any chance of making their 1st or 2nd string LB units. The Jets have a pretty solid D.
  12. This particular flash mob robbery happened in a 7-Eleven near where i live in Maryland (suburb of DC). This area is not inner city at all but rather suburban and nice middle class (mixed) area around. Those kids are probably all 16-19 yr olds from the high schools nearby. Just ridiculous. We've seen several more in some nice stores in D.C. as well. I try not to think of these African American kids as "thugs" or whatever but they make it real hard. ALl the flash mob robberies around this region that are caught on video are black youths. Just sad man.
  13. I'm tired of offensive line commentary only because nearly EVERY fanbase complains about their teams offensive line. It's amazing how the best QB's always seem to overcome any O-line issues. I am in the DC area and all you hear and read are about the Ravens and Redskins complaining about their O-line woes. Not saying the Bills don't have issues but they are not the worst out of 32 teams. I bet 30 teams have similar issues. You just need to overcome it or build a defense that can take advantage of other team O-line problems and keep games close.
  14. They did look sharp. Still would like blue pants on the road but i am excited about them going back to blue jersey/white pants at home. The blue/blue home look the past several years was nauseating and only reminded me of Bledsoe/Donahoe/Willis and Losman for some reason. I am glad to move on from that. Part of me suspects they shelved the blue pants for now to keep the players from politicing to wear blue/blue again someday. Remember, it was the players who favored that look and management allowed them to wear it. Now there is no option. It's Blue over white at home.
  15. Good point and one that I tried to make several years ago about JP as well. Losman threw a good bomb to guys streaking under it but all his intermediate and short passes were to stationary targets. He was horribly inaccurate at hitting guys in stride and then just stopped trying. I thought Trent was a little better but then he became totally gunshy. Fitz can hit guys on the move which is great, He's not always accurate but unless you are named Brady or Manning...it's just not that easy to be 100% accurate.
  16. Levi looked very Trent Edwards-ish to me. Even in hurry up time, he would take the safe outlet and not look downfield. I do realize he's basically a 1st year guy though and he doesn't want to screw up. He'd probably rather make the safe play than mess up. So far he has not distinguished himself to me as anything more than 3rd string-camp fodder. Thigpen on the other hand looks to be the opposite. He seems to sling it downfield into double coverage without hesitation...which can be a problem. I watched his one start last year at Miami and this preseason game and he looked irresponsible in both games and a bit panic-y. Maybe that one year in KC, he took some chances and just hit a bunch of home runs. Now the book it out and he's striking out. We'll see. Let's just hope Fitz stays healthy and doesn't get hit too much.
  17. Fitz is just one of those QBs who looks average to below in practice and seems to really have to heave the ball to get velocity but in games he just moves the chains. He's definitely the guy this year. I can see they will use Spiller to catch more balls out of the backfield. Good move. This guy needs the ball in his hands in space. I hope he has learned to go more north-south and take what he can. Freddie looked in mid-season form. Johnny white seems to be more of the Spiller mode but more power and less speed. He showed some soft hands as well. Now these guys just need some blocking. I like Brad Smith and I'm looking at this as we traded Lee Evans for Smith and got a 4th rounder as well. Smith just gives us a weapon in many different areas. My main concern with WR is that we lack a home run threat. Maybe Stevie or Donald Jones will emerge. Heck, Roosevelt did get some crazy YAC at UB but that was against college kids. Easley has not shown me anything but now that he has a game under his belt maybe he will loosen up. You just can't expect any offense to go 10 plays, 80 yards more than once a game. Too many things go wrong. You need an offense that can pick up chunk yardage. We'll see how it goes. I still don't think they would have one more win, or one less loss with Lee Evans. Don't feel like writing about the defense but the 1st team looked like a big improvement. Once you get to the 2nd and 3rd string we are in big trouble. Must stay unjury free.
  18. If Roosevelt played for New England he'd have at least 60 catches from that inside slot position. He's showing great handsand football speed.
  19. Point #6 is key. It was so obvious that the Bears depth was much better than the Bills depth. This is nothing new. Its why the Pats, Eagles, Steelers, Pack, Ravens, Saints and a bunch of other teams are solid. Injuries are going to happen to every team. Buffalo can't afford any. I can see now why national media predicts the Bills another 4 or 5 win season. I thought they could get 8 or 9 but that's if they suffer no major injuries and get some bounces.
  20. Still better than Baltimore's tickets which are just as flimsy and do not feature opponents names or game dates. I think the lockout made most teams half-ass their season ticket process.
  21. Levi has negative awareness out there. And why wasn't Easley out there at the end? Can the guy catch? Our 1st string O and D look improved but we have no depth
  22. Levi makes me yearn for Brohm. Ugh. Look forward to next April when they draft an early Qb to develop behind Fitz
