[Vague Title]Raiders let promising get away, signed by Bills
zow2 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like the Raiders version of our Brandon Reilly. The masses would freak out if Reilly was signed off the Bills practice squad. -
Sadly, we get outclassed by the Dolphins!

I refuse to believe Miami comes up to Orchard Park two December's in a row and wins both. -
Would you rather be New England or Cincannati?
zow2 replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um, I'd rather be New England. But seeing as they have maybe the Best QB and Head Coach combo we will ever see....i think it would be much easier and more likely to become another Cincinnati. -
Tyler Dunne Article on Sammy Watkins' Maturation

Really hard for to blame an NFL training staff for players getting ankle, knee, hip, groin, hammy, concussion, etc....injuries. But maybe this staff enabled players to miss more games for minor injuries....or didn't adequately treat them so they could play. -
I'd say F- everything else and go get Cousins. He wants nothing to do with DC after this season. He got jerked around too much by Bruce Allen. If Cousins becomes unattainable then move up to get one of the college guys. I'd stay away from Bradford, A. Smith, etc,,,

Geez, chill man. It's my opinion based on what I've researched about him after he was hired and when I've listened to him in interviews. Obviously I don't know this as 100% fact. I've never met the man. And I like Sammy, but on a very potent offense he has 34 rec. for 549 yards. That's puts him way down the list and as you mentioned he's been relatively healthy. For comparison, even Marquise Goodwin has 41 for 783. It amazes me that any decent WR we have in Buffalo is constantly hurt or nursing some nagging injury.

Agreed. Beane is the smartest guy in the room. He's the guy I want making decisions on how to build this team.

Hey no worries,, we have Nate Peterman.

Former Chiefs' RB Larry Johnson Believes He Has CTE
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah. it will exist but there will be some major changes. More and more people are suggesting that kids don't start tackling until 14 - 15 yrs old. And then not even in practice. -
After listening to an interview with Peter King, he makes it sound like no one believes in... or wants to see BUF or TENN in the AFC playoffs. People would rather see wild card playoff games like Balt @ LA and KC at Jax. I don't think that has anything to do with the TV map but i thought that was interesting in how the masses feel about Buffalo.

Would like to see LA win the west. But since all the pundits like the Chargers on Sat night I have a feeling KC will show up in a big way and get back on track.

"Colts-Bills was the game of the year" - NFL in 90
zow2 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only in Buffalo man.. I can't imagine any other NFL city going through with that game, and weather forecast for lake effect. It would have been preemptively postponed like the game in Philly a couple years ago (in the name of safety for the fans). Maybe Green bay is another city it would've been played. -
If the Bills win out they could win the division
zow2 replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not going to even consider playoff possibilities or anything else until they beat Miami. If they do, still seems like a huge long-shot to do better than 1-2 in the final 3 games. -
As it stands now, 0-3. The Bills have gone 2-1 vs KC, NE and Indy with virtually no offensive output. If they can’t find their offense it will be 0-3. Miami has some talent over there
-
Howard, the Miami CB looks like he’s holding on every play. Good player but man, he is hands on all the time
-
Take nothing away from Miami, but they can thanks Tre White for removing Gronk from this game. That made a difference.
-
Pains me to say it but Miami’s roster looks more talented than Buffalo’s across the board. I hate Cutler but he has been playing better than I thought he could.
-
I thought it was ridiculous all week to hear how the Bills would dust off Miami no problem. All along I’ve felt we would split with them at best...and would need to steal that Pats game to get to 9 wins. We are not better than Miami. Maybe even

I gave my take on this in the WGR thread. but for this specific game McD made the correct call. No way was Indy driving 70 yards or whatever for a legit FG attempt. I liked the D's chances of getting a turnover. If the weather was 50 degrees and sunny it's very possible McD would've gone for it. You just can't kill him for making the call to punt in this game with those weather conditions. It worked out. He was smarter than the talking heads (who are all pissed off that they are wrong

Guess Howard and Jeremy slept in

Sometimes you have to make a tough call in a game. For this specific situation, punting the Colts back probably meant a 3 and out or a possible turnover. The Colts had not turned it over all day, they were due. I think the chances of a fumble/Int or 3 & out...probably outweighed the chances of getting stopped on 4th down, then having the Colts possibly drive to a FG with the wind. The fact that Jeremy and Howard are furious is kind of silly. It's like they'd rather prove their point than see a Bills W. McD played the odds that he felt were correct for this SPECIFIC GAME.. If the weather was 50 degrees and sunny, light winds...he might've gone for it. But the weather dictated that it was very unlikely Indy would drive 60-70 yards for a FG attempt...and/or a turnover in the Bills favor was a real definite possibility. -
I loved seeing that term “McGutless” and I love that it blew up in the original posters face. McD made the right call there

Ha. Reading this thread I thought we were losing 27-0.

Week 14: Colts' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's absurd to suggest one man would've flipped a 30 point loss into a win. Unless the QB for the Bills had the last name of Brady it would not have mattered. They could not stop the Chargers that day. LA had one penalty. No turnovers. They played a near perfect game. -
Week 14: Colts' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced

I'd be surprised if Tyrod starts. He was favoring that knee in practice. I'm sure that joint will feel even worse in breezy 25 degree weather. McD would've been more positive about him playing by now, not just a "game-time" decision. I think we're looking at Peterman, chapter 2 this Sunday in the cold/snow. Maybe that suits Peterman better than warm sunny LA.
