  1. Just in, playing QB in the NFL is really hard. I like the Hail Mary for saving the season by starting Peterman. Just don’t think it works out today. 27-13 Chargers
  2. For many years it’s been the queen of the sky, twin aisles, 4 engines and the “hump”. The end of this year is the sunset of 747 service in the USA. United and Delta both retiring their fleets. Some foreign carriers like Lufthansa fly the slightly larger 747-800 and many fly the huge Airbus A380. The newer twin engine 787 and A350 are more fuel efficient and will replace 747s for U.S. airlines.
  3. https://twitter.com/bufairport/status/931838238263795712 If they give up 200+ yards rushing again and lose, Pegula should not spring for anything more than a Greyhound bus ticket home for each player.
  4. Saw a tweet from the Buffalo Airport. The Bills are chartering one of the last Delta 747-400 aircraft in their fleet. It will be retired in December. It's scheduled to depart Buffalo around 12:30pm to LAX. Pretty cool since the airport rarely sees the 747.
  5. NFL.com gave Peterman a draft grade last April of 5.7 and Mahomes was 5.8. To be rated that close and get drafted 161 slots later..... I don't believe in jinxes but I think he is a steal.
  6. I think Sunday will be tough. So if he shows a few decent throws and awareness I will be OK with it. Really won't be fair to judge him until he has a couple home games under his belt as well. The road games will be difficult unless the Bills can start rushing the ball again. If Peterman is stuck in obvious passing situations all day he's gonna get beat up.
  7. After the Jets and Saints exposed every facet of our team there is literally a 2% chance the Bills would've made the playoffs with Tyrod at QB. I'm fine with them test driving Peterman for a while. He showed a good presence in the pocket and some great awareness for a rookie. Rookie QB's have worked out pretty well for some teams recently. I don't care about his 5th round draft position. Last April NFL.com had him rated 0.1 lower grade than Mahomes at 161 spots lower. That seems like a steal.
  8. I hear this term alot. But if Peterman can navigate his way through a “dirty pocket” and hit some guys with anticipation throws, this offense will take off. Easier said than done. Cousins blamed his terrible interception last week on that same thing. Too many guys at his feet. It’s tough, even Tyrod with all his speed had trouble processing things that quickly, hence a lot of dump offs
  9. He's my fantasy football kicker. He'd better play on Sunday or be ruled out well in advance! But seriously, hope he's ok.
  10. Stubbornness, loyalties and being scared to take chances are the norm in the NFL. Just look at Bill O'Brien picking Tom Savage to be Houston's starter coming out of preseason and leaving DeShaun Watson on the bench. I give McD props (and I'm sure Beane agreed with him) in making this move now. He could have done the easy thing and tried to make Tyrod work. Instead he's trying to make the team better.
  11. Is Anthony Johnson fast? like NFL fast? I think that's the only knock I've heard on him. He's more than quick enough for the MAC conference but we will see how it translates. No doubt he's the most complete WR, UB has had in a while.
  12. I think the kid will be okay this week. He will certainly put up more than 60 yards passing and he will look pretty good as compared to last week's debacle. He will only get better so this might be his worst game, while he deals with the jitters. In the long run i just want to make sure Peterman gets solid coaching here. I mean if Sean McVay were coaching him I'd feel pretty darn good. But Dennison? I have no idea if that guy will coach him up and put him in the best position to succeed?! We shall see.
  13. Well the O-line, aging or not, has to man up this week. You would think they'd want to show some pride out there. The Jets and Saints D-Lines made them look pathetic.
  14. You can be sure I will be bumping this post back to the top of the board after the season to see who was right. I like your optimism!
  15. I totally agree. Nate would be a legend if they even sneak in at 9-7... This Chargers game is the big indicator. If they lose in LA (and a rookie QB making his first start probably has a huge losing %)....they would need to win at least two games they are not supposed to win...AND win the games they are supposed to win. That being said, Peterman should show some big improvement between his 1st and 2nd starts.
  16. I was listening to an interview with the Saints broadcast analyst. It hammered home the brilliance of Sean Payton and how Dennison is not in his league. Payton likes to have a "joker" position in his offense and creates a lot of match-up problems. For a while it was Reggie Bush, then it was Darren Sproles. This year in the 2017 draft Payton took a ton of heat from the media and fan base for trading a 7th and 2018- 2nd round pick ...to move up and select Alvin Kamara in the 3rd round. Kamara was supposed to fulfill the new joker role in Payton's offense and boy does he ever. What a great move. And we get to watch Dennison throwing dump off's to Tolbert and ramming him up the middle for 2 yards. We don't even have a real RB2 dressed for games. Ridiculous.
  17. The toughest thing to figure is whether or not the D can bail themselves out of their downward spiral? if not they will go 0-7 regardless of who is playing QB. I do think their problems correlate with the offense not maintaining possessions. After getting crushed the last two games I didn't think they would make the playoffs with Tyrod. With Peterman i still don't think they make playoffs, but the unknown is fun. If they somehow flip the LA game into a W, the KC and NE home game, to me, don't look quite as unwinnable. Tyrod led offense 7-9 at LA Loss at KC Loss vs NE Loss vs Indy Win vs Mia Win at NE Loss at Mia Loss Peterman led offense 8-8 at LA Loss at KC Loss vs NE Loss vs Indy Win vs Mia Win at NE Loss at Mia Win
  18. The running on the field is insanely ballsy....doing it naked!? that's next level to the umpteenth degree. It would take me being a lot more than drunk or high to do that!
  19. I'd be surprised if he rolled in his first game. LA has not given up too many points to the good teams (Chiefs scored 24, Eagles 26, Raiders 16, Patriots 21, Jags 20, Broncos 0). I expect this to be a 20-17 type of game. Peterman, 20-33, 238 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT... 5 rushes, 21 yards
  20. When the Bills hired Dennison, this is when Taylor needed to re-invent himself as a QB. Unfortunately after a 5-4 start (in which the D had a huge hand in creating)....Tyrod was never able to do it. I'm a Tyrod fan but he simply can't be an effective passer from the pocket and he won't throw contested passes downfield. So there ya go. He led the team to 3 points vs. Carolina and New Orleans. The offense was handed some turnovers in the Cincinnati game and they failed to do much at all. Losing that game was a killer. The National media isn't talking about any of that. Let's see if Peterman can get it done and if so, he will take pressure off the defense as well.
  21. Just circling back on the original post. I think McD saw what a lot of us saw. I blame the defensive struggles in large part to the offense being stagnant. Usually i am the first one to say "the D sucks they can't stop anybody".. If the O can't maintain possessions and keeps punting there's no way any D will hold up and they get tired and demoralized. Just hoping we have a QB now that can take some chances and make some plays with his arm.
  22. In his presser today Peterman kind of reminded me of Cousins and a young Drew Brees the way he spoke. I'm old enough that he also reminds me of Frank Reich, in appearance and the way he plays...probably more athletic than Frank. Anyway, if he can have success like any one of those guys on the field I will be psyched up!
  23. Let's just hope and pray this is our Bledsoe to Brady moment in franchise history. or more recently, Savage to Watson!
  24. That's absurd. Yep, i agree with that. I'm sure directly after the game in his presser, McD genuinely meant what he said about Tyrod remaining the starter. but once he saw the film breakdown, listened to the position coaches/GM, and had private conversations with others, I think it became apparent now is the time. We all speculated here that starting Peterman off against KC or NE was a bad idea so the Chargers game (which will be like Buffalo-West coast atmosphere) is the right time.
  25. The Locker-room was already lost. He's in the process of trying to get it back! You figured after the Jets game this group of men would rally together like the "family" they claimed to be... but that Saints game was proof positive there is serious deficiencies in that room. And as i mentioned in another thread, it's starts with offense and being able to control the ball and actually score. The Cincinnati game still haunts me because i think that game will ultimately cost Buffalo the wild card. The D folded last week. I think this change at QB will even help to rally them back.
