  1. Here's the "glass half full" take. The Bills WR's are so mediocre as a whole that each one will not be too difficult to replace. Losing someone like Julio Jones, Beckham, Antonio Brown, etc... that's a killer to an offense. Losing Jordan Matthews hurts, but he can be replaced. He's not a cornerstone to the franchise at WR.
  2. I don't care about passing yardage. I care about W's and not being careless with the ball. All i know is I'm glad we have TT. the alternative might be one of these guys... Hoyer Glennon Kizer McCown Bortles Keenum Brissett Cutler Tolzien Savage Mallett Not to mention even these household names aren't lighting it up.... Dalton, Newton, Flacco and Palmer
  3. The Sanders "non-catch" was also a bit of a gift. I dunno, if that was a Bills WR i'd be furious he took like three steps. Later in the day the Brandin Cooks TD catch for NE looked to have a similar wobble at the end and they counted it as a catch.
  4. Does the team make a point of emphasis about texting to a certain number if you see bad behavior? I was in Baltimore at their home game a couple weeks ago. They make a big deal about getting drunks and foul mouthed people thrown out. They have a text number to use to be anonymous if you want. And then at the end of the message on the big video board they have a slogan "Don't Be A Jerk" and the whole stadium yells it out together. Thought it was pretty cool.
  5. JK has a right to his opinion and shouldn't have to apologize of "make-up" with anyone. However!, if he wants to go and publicly say he loses respect for a Bills player or doesn't think a player is good enough (i.e. his take on ESPN last season about Tyrod)...then he should NOT be on the sidelines. I'm with Hughes on this one. Either be a supporter or get the heck off the sidelines.
  6. Tre White has the perfect personality for that position. You can tell he lets the previous play go, no matter what and just keeps playing. He's got a great future with the Bills.
  7. If Shady isn't going to stand, then who cares what he does. I don't respect any of the guys who kneel but whatever.. They wear my favorite teams jersey so i root for them to win games. If they want to protest against social injustice, then do something for "the good" of the cause off the field. Also, Jimbo should just shut it. Don't need to hear his opinion on individual players..
  8. Sammy or not is pretty exciting that the Bills look to be a very competitive team with a much improved defense... All this and we haven't even seen the play-makers they will draft with the treasure chest of picks. I'd much rather be in this position than be the Jets/browns, etc.. The Bills have a very solid foundation, good coach/GM combo and will continue to get better.
  9. Yeah Zay is really struggling but i think he will be ok in the long run. It seems like he has the Yips right now. Hope they can get him a few throws to get his confidence up. That one where he was wide open and Tyrod was hurried and threw high...ugh, that was a big play missed.
  10. Let's just admit that Beane and McDermott are indeed, smarter than all of us collectively. We scratch our heads at certain moves....they have a plan and stick to it. The Bills management has my trust.
  11. Not having a viable RB2 on this offense really blows. Gillislee would be really useful right about now. Yes Sammy hurts too but he wasn't even around half the time. Again, they are fixing one side of the ball that was a problem (Defense)...and blew up the O. We can never have two solid units during the same season. Argh!!
  12. Growing up in Williamsville/Amherst, the Buffalo area seemed very segregated and many people were clueless how other races live on a daily basis. I've lived in other big metro areas as an adult and they are much more integrated even in the suburbs. My (white) children are the minority race in their public schools, which i think will benefit them later in life. That's how the real world is.
  13. Lost in this discussion is what a great hire McVay is for the Rams. What a bright young guy and excellent play caller
  14. I'm very down on Dennison's offense so far,... it's offensive. If the O continues to stink I will refrain from completely shredding him until i see how Peterman runs the same offense.
  15. Again, throughout the entire drought, both units.. O and D are never in sync the same year. It's frustrating. Just run the same offense as last year and they are most likely 2-0 right now. The D is 100% better than last year. The O is way worse.
  16. Every year it's the same thing after a bad loss. Just knee jerk reactions. Let's not forget that in the NFL, from week to week teams are rarely as good as they look or as bad as they look. It flip flops a lot. The Bills D appears to be a bit nastier this year and I agree that Denver probably is walking into a hornet's nest. The Bills O was embarrassed last week and they will come up with some solutions. The key...If the D can win the turnover battle I see a W. If Denver wins the turnover ratio, we lose. It's not going to be the Denver blowout that the "negative nancy's" think it will be...
  17. I like Jeremy alot of the time, he makes some good intelligent points. But when he forms an opinion on something, he does everything to prove his point right and fit his agenda over time. It gets a little annoying. He is a proponent of tanking and I can't stand the concept of tanking. From day 1 he didn't like Tyrod...and all his commentaries over time continue to be critical of him. I mean Tyrod had a terrible game in the road opener last season, then he strung together some good games....like most QB's he's up and down...but he had some real solid games last season. This year they trade Sammy, his security blanket (Woods) leaves and they get rid of their RB2 right at cut down day. He's saddled with Dennisons terrible offense. We'll see how it all shakes out. Maybe Jeremy will get his wish and the Bills season tanks.
  18. True, it's also shaving off about 13 points per game from his 2016 production. So way to go Dennison. Bravo!
  19. Dennison's offense stinks. I assumed in preseason we were just seeing a vanilla scheme.. but unfortunately that was a precursor. Roman and Anthony Lynn were way better than this Donk.
  20. I don't like what I've seen from Dennison's offense so far. But I will reserve full judgement on it until I see Peterman in there running it too. Maybe there are some nuances that TT is missing on. We'll see. Either by injury or poor play by the offense, I think we will see Peterman get a couple starts this season.
  21. Once again we've flip flopped where one unit looks pretty strong and the other is below average at best. When the Schwartz D looked great the O was lousy. Then under Rex the O was pretty good with two straight years as the #1 rushing attack, but the D couldn't stop anyone. Now the D is back to looking very good and the O stinks. I mean during this drought is always the same darn thing. Can we ever get both units playing solid ball? At least with a tough D they should be in most games..
  22. Cinci has blown two home games already. That's rough. Dalton has looked very pedestrian since losing Marvin Jones and Sanu from that offense before last season. They had some very good WR's taking some pressure off AJ Green. Safe to say the Bengals window has closed!!
  23. This would NOT be shocking to see the Bills win. Carolina isn't that great, they are decent..much like the Bills. Home field is their big advantage in this game but I think the Bills will be in a bunch of close game this season including this one.
  24. I'm thrilled with TT. Geez, how would you like to have Tolzien or Savage, etc or even an old geezer like Carson Palmer?... to be your QB. Seriously, some Bills fans should chill and be thankful we have a decent QB here and a decent looking rookie backup.
  25. I'm pleased. D looks like much better tacklers. Just solid. Tolbert is better that I thought. Bills should be in several close games this year.
