Nice TD. On the play before ya gotta admit, Mayfield throws a lot of balls to guys that are totally covered. He throws accurate balls and trusts guys to make plays.
I think the Bills *should* dominate, but mainly because most of the guys except Fitz that played well vs. Buffalo on Oct. 20th, are injured and out of this game. So whatever they do, it will be all Fitz's work.
Well, this Sunday’s game at Miami will determine whether the Bills have officially pissed away their great 5-1, 6-2 start. Miami has injuries and their executives really don’t want to get to 3 wins already. If the Bills lose this one it’s over for 2019. Pack it up.
It seems like the Bills offense is just a few guys. Allen, Brown, Gore/Singletary.... and maybe a splash of Beasley. That’s it. It’s bizarre. Just not enough pieces around that O to make it dynamic. What would Aaron Rodgers do with that group of guys? Maybe he’d still produce . I dunno
that long ball stat is atrocious.
Just watch Russell Wilson tonight. If he throws a bomb it will be high arcing trajectory. He often gives his guys a nice chance to adjust and run underneath the pass. Josh throws more line drives and there’s no margin for error. He just heaves it with no Plan.
yep two of the clubs that were getting raked over nationally for their internal struggles and divisive cultures. All they needed was a date with the process-driven Bills to get back on track.
Jeremy on WGR made a good point. I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Most of Allen’s completions are to guys standing at a spot or throwing to a spot while the player is turning around. He’s rarely completes passes while the WR is on the run. The short slants to Beasley can be good, or the inaccurate pass to Brown would’ve been on the run. He rarely throws guys open. He’s basically doing what everyone said about Tyrod. He’s a taller Tyrod right now.
Ballsy call there by the Vikes. Teams seem to be going for a ton of 4th and goals this season before the 4th Qtr. I’m too conservative. I’d almost always kick the easy FG. NFL games are too close and so many of these 4th downs are stuffed. But good for Zimmer and Minnesota. Gutsy call there
I really don’t think they will sweep the Phins, Broncos and Jets. I feel like the Bills will drop one of those. So they will probably have to beat two of Pitt/Dal/Balt. We’ll never beat NE unless it’s a complete empty the bench game For the Pats. I see the classic Buffalo Bills Nov/Dec swoon and they finish 9-7.
I’d pretty much have Josh rolling out or scrambling around on most pass plays. He’s at his best improvising. He’s at his most mediocre when he’s standing back there surveying the field like Matt Ryan.
not a bad day for him but a bit of a mirage though. He threw for 170 yds and 3 TDs. The key was no picks or fumbles. The Bears only had 220 yds of Total offense. Not very good vs a Detroit club that give up chunks of yardage.
Tannehill had a similar day, only 180 yds passing but was supported by a huge running game...and no turnovers. That’s the recipe.
I agree for the most part. But I’m equally frustrated to hear we’re only in year TWO of the process and year three is when we’re expecting great things. No, the window is unexpectedly wide open right now. Take advantage. Today.
Our guy is going to go 0 for the season on bombs. I’m sure it keeps Josh up at night. Can’t reiterate it enough. Have him watch endless reels of Russell Wilson bombs and notice how he throws super high Trajectory and allows his guys to run under them.
I don’t have a huge problem with the play caller today. Execute the plays. Block better, hit a long bomb for once, don’t throw up prayers or inaccurate passes on 3rd and 4.
