  1. OMG, first time maybe ever I've rooted for KC. What a performance. Plus I have Kareem Hunt on my fantasy team. What a game
  2. Looks like Miami and TB have the same bye week (week #11). Maybe they should just force them to take their bye in week #1 so Miami doesn't have to possibly sacrifice a home game?
  3. Hate this move. Johnson has so much more potential than those other journeymen.
  4. Just ask Redskins fans. They kinda knew Desean Jackson would not resign, and were bummed they didn't trade him and get some value, instead he just leaves. Watkins would have left. He didn't like Buffalo that much and also... the team was betting he's always one tweak away from missing half the season.
  5. I'm older. I want to win NOW. So if that means I'm only happy for 6 or 7 Sunday's this year so be it. Trade all the freakin' draft picks to move up to #1 or #2 if they must. But don't sell off ALL the best players just for hope and a prayer. BTW- a few years ago our owner already signed off on a legit tank job for the Sabres. They have paid a painful and heavy price and are still not even close to building the team back up to where is once was (or where it needs to be to compete in the playoffs). There's not a chance in he!! that Pegula is signing off again for the Bills to do it.
  6. Yup. It's a complete Loser mindset. It's almost like a personality disorder for some people.... they rationalize in their minds that tanking the season provides more hope for the future, while getting them through a miserable season. In reality, it guarantees nothing, further creates a culture of losing, drives off the fanbase and makes no players want to sign here as free agents.
  7. Never too early! But just for optics i was hoping Yates would get the job done at the end. win the game in the last seconds,,,just to give us the feel of a culture change. But Alas, he throws the pickle on the final play to show us the Buffalo Bills continue to do, what we do best!
  8. I agree. To those that say you don't win Championships with a non-traditional QB, check out Russell Wilson. I seem to recall he let Seattle to the title by running around and making some plays while limiting picks from inside the pocket. Of course their D was a big part of the formula and hopefully McD knows how to build a solid D.
  9. This new Dennison offense looks slow and awful. Are they seriously gonna try to make Tyrod into Matt Ryan?!? Where he stands there and scans the field for 3-4 seconds? That's not his game. Get him out of the pocket, roll him a bit.. Anthony Lynn had the formula. As a side note, the lack of explosive WR's and the OLine getting destroyed last night contributed to his looking terrible.
  10. Wow, if you just go off the play of this game, the Bills look to be a bottom 5 team for sure. No swag. Dennisons offense is slow and drek.
  11. Talk about over-dramatic reactions, Jeez!! Beane's job is to upgrade the team now and in the future.. Before he went "rogue", he stayed up through the night walking McD and Pegula through these trade scenarios. All three signed off on it! What am i missing?!?
  12. The Tank doesn't work in the NFL. Those that think it does are delusional. Losing just sets up a culture of losing that's hard to break. You're right, the Colts "lucked" out by Peyton being injured in the perfect scenario that wasn't planned. Once they built up a terrible record, they finished it off. When teams that pick in the top 10 hit on a QB, that's all you need.. (i.e. Eli, Big Ben, Ryan, Luck, Palmer, Cam, Winston, Peyton, Rivers, etc). Anyone can move up for the right price. You don't have to completely suck and rip the heart out of your fanbase in the hopes of drafting #1. When Teams hit on a QB later in the first round and beyond it's just gravy (Flacco, Dak, Wilson, Brees, Cousins, etc..). There are too many examples of high pick QB's that never turned out to be anything. I'm with Beane. Stay competitive now...while building for the future.
  13. You are correct on year 1. This is the honeymoon for McD and Beane. If they want to make bold, brash moves then now is the time. And they did it. I'm glad he is upset w/ the tank talk. It's not in his competitive nature. I'm sure Beane and coach still expect to compete for 2nd in the division and maybe a Wild card. Why not? They replaced Sammy w/ Bolden and Matthews. Maybe have a couple more nice weapons in Zay, Streater and Holmes.. Who knows. They still have Shady, Clay and some good talent on D. There's no reason for me to think "tank". They improved our chances greatly of being able to move up in the 2018 draft if they choose to get a top rated QB. Nothing but good in my eyes.
  14. Anthony Lynn and Cardale...rough opening night. Thankfully just practice
  15. Not happy that he is gone, but I'm OK with the wheeling and dealings of today. It's a good move in the long term. Kind of nice that Watkins was moved to the NFC West, where he will never be able to come back and burn us.
  16. After getting over the shock and awe...and some grieving. I have now flipped to thinking Beane may have just revolutionized how to wheel and deal in the modern NFL.. This young GM might be a F-in genius.
  17. Peterman is what i hoped he would be, a gamer. In other words, he's ok in practice, nothing special...but in games he shows great awareness and just makes plays. Let's hope this continues and the Bills finally hit on QB that can be the future. Keep playing good ball in preseason and he will be the #2 this year.
  18. Didn't see it but supposedly DeShone Kizer looked good too. So that's 4 rookie QB's that had solid debuts. Things will change of course when teams start game planning.
  19. Part of this has been spurred by a recent shortage in airplanes for charter. In April, American Airlines suspended charter service to six NFL teams because it lacked sufficient aircraft. Florio reported that up to 20 NFL teams could be left high and dry after 2017. The Patriots are just getting out in front of this trend. So it may not be a money maker, but it gets them out of having to stress out over travel arrangements. The Dolphins just finalized arrangements to be charted by Miami Air International this season. That's a real small charter company that typically charters college football teams like the UB Bulls around (and some NHL teams). The Jaguars won't even divulge the name of their charter company for this season but it's supposedly mostly a cargo carrier but not one of the big one's.
  20. Nice plane(s) but let's face it, this is a total ego move by Kraft. yeah he wanted to see those 5 Lombardi trophies on the tail of the plane. A football team uses a 767 for what...11-12 road trips per year? 10 if it's a normal team like the Bills. The maintenance, the upkeep, the staff...all the little nuances of owning large planes. This cannot be a money maker. It feeds their egos though.
  21. After seeing some responses here, I called DTV back twice over the past few days. The first call was to reinstate the $50/mo. credit that expired. Turns out I was able to get another $45/mo. credit for the next 12 months. Not sure why they wouldn't give me $50? but whatever...I was fine with $45. The second call was specifically regarding ST MAX. I had called about three weeks ago and got it down to $24.99 x 4 payments. Since some of you got it *Free*, i called back and asked if this 17 year subscriber could get the same deal. After finally getting Loyalty on the phone, the very nice girl on the other end ultimately offered me $14.99 x 4 payments as the "best they can do". I feel like paying that for the entire season of ST MAX is fair and i didn't feel like haggling any more with her. Instead, I asked if they had any Premium movie channel promotions? She said, sure she could give me 6 months of free movie channels, the entire range of channels in the 500's. Now i have HBO, Starz, Movie Channel, Showtime, Cinemax,,,all for free. I'm pretty happy with that since i currently have none of the movie channels.
  22. Best: Baltimore Worst: Washington The two stadiums are only like 30 miles apart but the game experience at FedEx Field sucks while Baltimore is festive and fun.
  23. I spoke with 2 agents, the second was someone specifically for ST calls. I was OK with the offer, can't complain. If other people here eventually start posting about Free NFL ticket plus all the premium channels...that's when i call back and start asking for more loyalty discounts. I've been a customer since 2000 and believe me...I've paid them enough $$ over the years to equal a really nice car. I don't feel bad asking for the most discounts possible...
  24. Got the letter saying they would renew my ST Max at ($62.99 x 6 payments). Made my annual call yesterday, spoke with 2 people... the best they could do was $24.99 x 4 payments for Max. So getting it for $100 vs. $378 just for making a phone call is all well and good but last year i got it for *FREE*. I kept pressing and she said the 24.99 x 4 was the very best "loyalty discount" they could offer. She said if i declined I could always call back in a few weeks and see if anything better is available. So i accepted it for now and will call back in a month and see if I can do better or get some credits added to my account to offset it.
  25. Cool story. I bought my kid a Tyrod jersey before last season. I personally think he's a very good QB for our Bills. Hoping he really blows up the league this year and does awesome. You never hear anything bad about the guy off the field...or doing stupid things to bring negative attention to himself or the team.
