He's working through it. Am i slightly concerned? Yes. He can't get happy feet and start running around, backwards, like a keystone cops routine. Even with zero talent around him, he needs to show some composure in the pocket and at least hit on some passes, even if the windows are tiny. I think we will see that his running days will be limited going forward. He needs to use this season to learn how to be an NFL QB. I would hope the Green bay game is his worst game this season. If not we're in trouble.

I don't know how you fix this offense. But I'm flying up to watch the Tennessee game.. and If the O is moving backwards all game I will be very unhappy..

Honestly, I think even Geno Smith had better stats as a raw rookie than what Allen does now. We shall see. I’m praying that Allen picks it up and gets his passing up to speed.

7 sacks for -64 yards can never happen again. The other three rookie starters today didn’t combine for anything close to that nonsense. A good QB won’t allow that to happen anymore

I agree with this. After Minnesota, I was like OK, this guy can play. Even though he didn’t have all that many great passes, he made some stuff happen and was a leader. Green Bay has a no-nothing defense and Allen looked like pure garbage today. There was nothing positive, nothing. Hoping this was a mere blip on the learning curve. But I am a wee bit concerned after today.

Big picture is just life with a rookie qb

Eh. I *think* Allen will be good but I haven’t seen that much visual evidence yet. His very best throw was dropped by Robert Foster vs Minny. The play to Croom was nice but he was wide open. One long pass was a screen to Ivory. The other great plays were superhuman running ability, which will be shut down as we saw today. So yes, the receivers suck, but cmon, can we see some passes into tight windows and touch balls in the end zone? -

Not many flashes today to be honest. Allen has to be better, starting against Tennessee. He has to manage himself in the pocket better than this. Rodgers would quickly flick the ball to his hot read when he saw the blitz coming. Allen needs to learn to do that immediately -
Why does Allen always try to spin to his blindside?

I swear, they should have an entire course in pocket presence and awareness. He has to really improve in that area. He’s way faster than most NFL QBs and should not be getting sacked this much. It’s called step up, and/or quick release. Or throw it away -

I’ve seen a few national writers now describing them as the “hapless” Bills. Ugh -

Well the book has been written on Allen for this year. Blitz him on every single play, until he and the offense can learn to deal with it. Right now no position on offense can handle the blitz -

Jesus Allen, wake the F up !? That was horrible and the sack was all on him. Just throw it. Try to get a PI call or something, anything -

It’s the NFL man, so often a team that loses the week before and plays a team that won, the script is flipped. Bills look again like the 32nd ranked team in the NFL. -

The Bills still make the forward pass look really hard. Hoping Allen can have Goff-like improvement in year 2 -

Oh man. Allen hurt his wrist. This is his welcome to the NFL moment. He’s getting his A$$ kicked today. This has 48-0 written all over it -

Allen is off, receivers aren’t getting open. D is not as sharp. Honestly this game I was expecting in Minnesota. But here we are. Another blowout in the making. And McCoy and Benjamin can just sit out next week as far as I’m concerned -
Schopp and Sal going at it hard on wgr
zow2 replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I heard Sal and Schoop getting into it this afternoon. Something about team Culture which Sal thinks is important during good and bad times...while Mike thinks culture means squat. Sounded like Schoop hates being challenged on his points, or disagreed with. Probably why he and the bulldog fella get along. That guy never says anything original. -
McDermott not pleased with WRs in practice
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McD seems to be ramping up the urgency, at least visibly, in games and in practice. That's good to see. No reason this club should be blown out with the defense they have here. Just need max effort on every down. And the O needs to contribute in the first half much like they did last week.... -
Should be a fun game. Even though Army isn't a P5 team they are a basically a national brand and the fans will show up..for both teams. I saw on Twitter that Anthony Johnson and Cam Lewis are questionable. That hurts, but they can still win without those guys. If you step back and look at the big picture, this game isn't critical for UB. It would be awesome if they could go to a big name Bowl game. But the goal is to win the MAC and they are currently 1-0 in conference.
