im not trying to be pedantic. i think the way we phrase these things impacts perception if we say we used a first on coleman, the perception is that he's a much bigger miss than what he actually is- a second rd WR who we almost certainly were not enamored of, hence the multiple tradebacks that landed us in that spot

QUESTION? Why are we not talking more about the Savage pick up? Bills play a ton of Nickle/Dime, this guy is a former first round pick. In his 7th season with over 80 career starts on defense. McDermott gets the most out of his secondary guys. Could Savage see some playing time in the last couple games . He’s been a starter in the league for 7 years. You’d figure he should get some snaps soon!!! I mean, gotta be better than Cam Lewis right?!!!!

I've been through this twice and just cringe thinking about curling and pull ups where he is likely at in time.....IMO At this point in time, I'd be careful handling a gallon of milk....but I'm a bald headed little old man, so there's that. I think it's nuts to seriously expect to see him again this year. Maybe he could wear a less than lethal brace.

I was listening to Football 301 with Nate Tice and Matt Harmon today. The show was about X factors for each AFC playoff contender. They actually focused on one X factor on both sides of the Bills unlike any other team. (On offense it was Kincaid). Tice said the spine of our D and more specifically Shaq Thompson is our X factor on that side. He brought up some interesting metrics/splits for when Shaq Thompson has been on the field in the last 4 games vs. when he's been off. One half of what he brought up is obvious: our run D goes from dead last or about dead last in the league when he's off the field to about middle of the pack when he's on. BUT... when Shaq is off the field our pass D (and specifically our explosive pass D) goes from one of the best defenses when he's off the field to one of the worst. I'm pretty sure he said we've given up the most or 2nd most explosive pass plays in the NFL during the time he's been on the field. I'm not pointing that out to say that I think Shaq should be taken off the field. I don't. I also think those numbers are probably really skewed by the Bengals game. However, it's still an observation McDermott should probably consider in his schemes.

They will need a preseason game to work the bugs out most likely.

Ed Oliver getting healthy enough to play by the playoffs would help. Joey Bosa's hammy appears to be a minor one. Hopefully he's back soon and can stay healthy through the playoffs. Otherwise, McDermott and Babich may need to be willing to dial up some timely blitzes.

I don't know that I even blame Burrow for either INT. One was an incredible play by Benford who might make that play 1 out of 10 times and the other was a good play by Philips to get his hand on the ball and a favorable bounce.

That dolphins game was the weirdest game I’ve ever seen lol not even sure how to quantify that one.. felt like we were getting destroyed but that josh 20 yard qb sneak fumble would’ve been us driving to cut the lead to 3 if he didn’t turn it over.. Felt like every time we got close we turned it over and one of those drives was like us driving the entire third quarter then turning it over in the end zone 😂 I think Kincaid probably has 50-60 receiving yards if he finished that one probably still a loss though.. I feel like it started pouring once we went down 16 which definitely did the passing game no favors
