  1. Past hour
  2. This is still being debated? it has to be the “Have Some Faith” game.
  3. I agree with you about Cleveland this weekend. They played a feisty game against the Bengals and should have won but for their rookie kicker. I think the Ravens defense is overrated. If we were not so conservative with our play calling in the first half after the first drive we would have been a lot closer late in the game. When they let Josh play like an all timer, the Ravens could not stop him. That needs to be our offensive MO every week. Conversely, what in the name of good defense is wrong with the Bills run defense every single year? Is it the scheme, the players, or a brutal combo of the two? This game was certainly not an outlier of our run defense the past few years. It has happened numerous times. I certainly hope that Jordan Hancock is active this week. Give the kid some opportunities. He at least looked to have some athleticism in the preseason. I can't believe he would not be an upgrade from what we saw out of Rapp and Bishop. And do NOT go back to Tre White. Keep Strong starting. And then when Hairston is ready go with a combo of those two opposite Benford. No way Tre can keep up with the speed of today's NFL offenses. Just not happening.
  4. To say this is an outrage is an understatement. Putting narrative over peoples lives is the most evil that evil can get.
  5. I mean I suppose the point is valid but then the Bills are just going to do one of two things. They are either going to tell Josh Allen to run back and run 4 verts and chuck the ball out of the back of the endzone knocking off another 4 to 5 seconds of that 15 seconds or they are just going to kick the Field goal with 15 seconds left. Either way the Bills were still in a big advantageous spot.
  6. Between Henry, Flowers and Lamar you go for that 4th & 3 no matter what there. Allen has carved your defense up mercilessly in the 4th quarter and only needs a FG to win. You tell Lamar to man up or put in the backup and run Henry at the Bills defense. If you fail, the Bills are unlikely to play highly aggressive since they are already in FG range and Baltimore has 3 TOs. Effectively in the end Harbaugh had less confidence in his QB than McD had in his.
  7. I'm so weird. I still get nervous watching replays of that kick because of how close Hamilton got to blocking it.
  8. That and I also didn't like punting on 4th and 3 on our second drive. Yes we hadn't even gotten to midfield yet but you have to know what type of game you're in. We had run three rushing plays in a row, to me if you're going to do that then you have to go for it on 4th and short and give Allen a chance. Instead we punted, Baltimore ripped off an easy TD drive, and we were chasing that lost possession for the rest of the game. But overall I thought McDermott's game management was quite good. The end of both halves were managed and executed to perfection and he absolutely deserves credit for that.
  9. The Bills always struggle in Jersey against the Jets. I fully expect us to be in a battle until the end against them. Sometimes we pull it out and sometimes we don't. I'm still not worried about Fields throwing the ball all over the field. We have to stop Hall and Fields running the football. If Fields goes off down the field on us i'll be absolutely shocked.
  10. The Ravens should have gone for the 4th and 3. They had 3 timeouts, so even if they don’t get the 1st down, and Buffalo takes over, the Bills mindset is run clock and kick the FG. So, after the Bills force the Ravens to use all 3 timeouts, there is still about the same amount of time that Josh had and zero timeouts to get into FG range. In that scenario, you absolutely trust your Hall of Fame backfield and if they get stuffed you still get another swing at it.
  11. Watching from home, one of the more fun parts was right after the fumble - the crowd just went nuts. It felt like such a quiet game to that point, and w/ that one play, everyone there was all in. That really gave it a feeling of "okay, we've got this now."
  12. I I have dealt with FEMA and they were incompetent 20 years ago and have gotten worse. As I stated I personally know two of the government nuclear experts, and they are not experts, one of the last leader of the HHS was a mentally man pretending to be a woman. If you believe it was well run over the past 20 years after watching it botch COVID in every way possible I will never convince you. And your point about some of them being boots on the ground type of guys does not make them competent people and especially does not mean there input is ever used
  13. Bills put Bass on IR before the game, used a practice squad elevation for Prater, so they still had Bass's roster spot.
  14. Looks like he was below average in the first week, too.
  15. Ok I watched all their big plays on All22 right now. And to my completely uneducated eye it was mostly on Milano and Bernard, who were both abysmal, and then Rapp. I didn't see any major play where Williams or Bishop seemed guilty. Also, Benford had a bad game imo. Not talking about Hopkins circus catch, but he allowed two of Flowers' big gains, including TD. One thing. Can you have a look on 36y pass to Flowers with 2.42 to go in the 3rd which was 2 plays before Hopkins TD to 34-19? Flowers was wide open, do you think it was Strong who was supposed to be with him but got fooled somehow? He was following his motion pre snap.
  16. My criticism of those who glorify McD is that they fail to recognize where he hasn't shown continued and consistent growth as a head coach, and that is his over-reliance and lack of creativity with his defensive system in now his 9th season. I am not in favor of firing him at this point because I recognize the amazing culture he's set up and his growth with his offensive philosophy. But after 9 seasons we're not allowed be criticizing his lack of growth with his defensive philosophy that keeps failing us in the playoffs? If we're going to win a superbowl he needs to change it. I'm already encouraged because he discussed living with mistakes his younger players will make playing up to speed this year. Damar Hamlin is on the bench Those are steps in the right direction. Ditto to bringing in some beef to our D-line in the near future. Hopefully it's message received no matter the source. I wouldn't agree he outcoached Harbaugh by a mile. Most definitely in the fourth quarter though, where it counts!
  17. I didn't read the article (paywall), and I'm not saying that Zach Wilson was salvageable, but I don't think any quarterback including Allen would have succeeded given the situation they put him in. It's a case study in what not to do.
  18. Sanders caught my eye a couple times. He won a few reps and was able to get thru the line but the play was on the opposite side. I keep reminding myself that they aren't exactly working with the DL they envisioned and are probably gonna mix and match some lineups until they get Larry and Mike back. I'd look up their last names but I'm choosing apathy right now. Also both of them got easy to misspell surnames.
  19. Tigers have been kind of meh lately. Is Skubal pitching in any of the games? He makes a difference for sure.
  20. I know McDermott made a point to say Bass is still "our guy"...but if Prater keeps kicking well why would you bother using one of your IR return allotments on a kicker. Seems wasteful.
  21. I get that on the first one. I can see the logic of leaving the points on the board -- or trying to get the extra point once the ball was moved to the one-yard line. That one is truly debatable, and I can respect the decision he made at that time. Obviously, he had no choice but to go for 2 on the final one when the score was 40-38. Honestly, when we didn't convert that one, I was fearful that it was eerily similar comeuppance after Mark Andrews' drop on the 2-point conversion in the playoff game! The one I take issue with is the 2nd one, when we were down by 9. I think part of the weighing of risk vs reward has to be what happens if you DON'T convert the 2-point try. That is why I would always wait until you really HAVE to get the 2 points over the more sure-thing in the extra point. I am sure that McD's thought was that you know that you have to get that 2-point conversion at SOME point, so he elected to do it then to put the team within 7. However, by not making it, the team was still down by 9 -- making it a two possession game. If they kick the extra point there (and assuming that Prater makes it), they are down by 8, still potentially a 1-possession game. Given that they failed on that later 2-point conversion, I guess this doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. LOL In a weird way, maybe the failed 2-point conversions may have played to the Bills' favor. Assuming they kicked extra points on all three of those TDs rather than the failed 2-point conversions, presumably they would have been up by a point rather than down by 2 after that last TD. (I know scoring decisions on the part of the Ravens may have changed too based on the Bills' having done things differently.) As we saw, the Bills D did what they needed to do to get the ball back when the Ravens were in kill-the-clock/preserve-the-lead mode on offense. I wonder how differently things may have been if they got the ball back, down by a point with plenty of time and all 3 timeouts just needing a FG to win?
  22. My preference is the multi focal lens so I can go without any glasses for reading. What scares me is I tried multi focal contacts and hated them. They just never got comfortable for me from a vision standpoint. It was simple enough to say the trial box isn’t good for me. What if I have surgery and have the same level of dissatisfaction? They’re not “wrong”, but they don’t do well for “me”. Each brain seems to process this stuff a bit differently. I have countless questions and I’m interested in your situation and results. Did you ever try multi focal contacts? How was that for you?
  23. I occasionally check out other boards. It's not just homerism to say ours is better. It just is. Thanks, all.
  24. We are in total agreement I don't know why we're still taking
  25. The move would make more sense if they were dead last in offense...
