Mahomes has to be hurting today.  He was hit more than I’ve ever seen by that QB.  Well deserved.  As the eloquent Virgil stated, top of my list for you know.

@Simon, we had some people over to watch the game and I kid you not, a play before this happened a friend of mine said he was tired of QBs in general using the sideline to bait defenders into penalties and was posturing for a rule that said if any part of the QB is inbounds he is fair game.  Then we all watched Epenesa crush Mahomes and waited for the flag that never came…it was awesome.

Absolutely hammered him and it was a completely legal hit to boot, even with that ridiculous "body weight" standard.  AJE rolls off at the final moment.  And I'm STILL shocked it wasn't flagged.

Mahomes took an absolute beating this game. Same with Kelce. I really wish I could the replay of Cole Bishop destroying him

Now obviously the Chiefs could easily run the table but there are challenging games. 
 

The Broncos at home have a chance to almost build an insurmountable gap between them in two weeks. The Colts, while overrated have been extremely good so far, Dallas offense plays like a tank at home and that could be a challenge, Texans have a great defense , then Herbert and the Chargers , then the Broncos again. 

If they could easily run the table you wouldn't say the "but there could be challenging games." 

 

At work we looked at this and saw the Dallas game and thought " hmmm. Dallas isn't a bad team but they're not good late on the season." We noticed the game is on November. Dallas wins that game because they'll lose all December. 

 

After the bye and then losing to @Broncos would be epic. Their defense has to get firing to stop the Broncos and it's not firing right now. The Chiefs will drop at least 2 more. They're not firing on all cylinders.

I went nuts (in a good way) when this went down in the game.  Great no call by refs as it was a clean hit while Mahomes was still in the air in bounds from the throw.  Text book legal hit - but still the kind of garbage call Mahomes usually gets. 
 

He got hammered all game and no flags, loves that.

He actually did let up on the play after Mahomes slipped his initial pass rush attempt.   He re-engaged and finished the play but Mahomes would have had far less time if AJ had hadn't jogged a few steps.

I think during the NE game it was brought up how coaches are always in the leagues war and officials ear before games. "Hey you know on film X player does this all the time and it's not called"

 

This could be one of many moments coaching staff is doing a great job but nobody sees or talks about

See it’s funny , fans want the one seed as they should and all of these are obviously hypothetical with half a season to play. 
 

The Bills get the one seed and the Chiefs and Ravens don’t win their division. Then that means one of them would come to Buffalo in the divisional round.  Like I said hypothetical as I still think the Ravens win their division but if we’re the one seed we don’t want to see the Chiefs as the 6 or 7. We want the easiest matchups possible

I see where you're coming from, good insight, and there's the Chiefs mystique in the playoffs, but I think I'd be fine having a week extra rest and playing the Chiefs at Highmark this year.
