machine gun kelly Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It is good news on Hairston. He can learn from his occasional mistakes, but he has such make up speed, it will be a good test. He also gets much needed playing time before the big bad Chiefs. 1 Quote
frostbitmic Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hairtston hurt his knee back at mini camp in June. I could see him being broken in today playing in the soft shell zone, 15 yards off the LOS on 3rd and 10. If he can make a tackle or two and not give up a TD it'll be a positive first game. Quote
Since1981 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago But does he hug each player as they get announced? 1 Quote

All these old beat up QBs always have good game against us... Ya or maybe split series w Tre like they did with Strong Either way I'm excited to see him out there Quote

There's a lot to be learned from his situation when it comes to expectations when missing a ton of time. I'm hopeful that he will get up to speed but realistically I can't imagine him being a huge impact tomorrow. But what do I know. Anytime on the field will be a step in the right direction. I was thinking people will say he will be a healthy scratch on inactive list. Quote

I bet you he’s not even fully healthy yet, but McDermott is so desperate for a spark at corner they’ll take the ups & downs of a rookie and hope his elite athleticism can cover some mistakes/ big play ability. 2 Quote
RyanC883 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’ll take it. Recognizing we have no other option. Let’s go!! Quote
notpolian Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I expect a couple rookie mistakes from Hairston if he gets in the game. But it's definitely worth it as a possible upgrade over the rest of the season. I would not mind Poyer being in there. He is slower now but can help Hairston. At least he knows where to be and can take good pursuit angles, even if it's harder to get there now. 1 Quote

MDH Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Curious why the Bills didn’t active his 21 day window a little earlier if he’s ready to play this week. Quote

Why would it matter? He was doing his rehab. If he had a setback and they activated him too early, then they risked losing him for the season. 1 Quote

If he's fully recovered (and I don't believe the Bills would make him active if he wasn't) I would use him in match coverage in a hybrid zone/man scheme. Have him travel with McMillan and see how he does. 1 Quote

There is no way Maxwell Hairston would be a healthy scratch on the 2025 Bills defense. 1 Quote

We don't know yet if he can actually cover anybody, but that unreal athleticism should help in recovering from the inevitable mistakes. His feet and hips are absolutely world class. Quote

Dan Darragh Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago There are going to be a lot of guys out there on defense whose numbers I don't know. Quote
