Flacco 560 yards 5 TDS and 0 INTs last 2 games.

Burrow is unreal.

i think Flacco played great. But you can basically put any semi-competent starter with those two receivers and throw for 300 yards.

you put burrow with Curtis samuel

and Elijah Moore…. I wonder what would happen?

This dynamic provides us with a fascinating experiment, wherein both orgs have franchise QBs on vet deals, but one organization concentrates remaining offensive cap in wide receivers, whereas the other funnels it into the OL.

One team builds from the outside in and one team builds from the inside out.

I know which I prefer.

Can you imagine JosH Allen with those Bengals receivers?I

It took Burrow going down and having a terrible season in order to draft Chase.

Still cant get over that bootleg call with 40 year old Flacco.

I’m officially in the camp of only pay all pros second contract money on defense.

It’s 2025 you need to score 30 plus a game to win unless you draft the Eagles 2024 defense.

I don’t know how you even play defense in 2025.

Schematically you gotta mix it up and disguise pre-snap where possible. Post-snap you need sound tackling and coverage assignments, alongside timely DL disruption and opportunistic plays at the 2nd and 3rd levels. The actual alignments and techniques are less important, although obviously one-gapping, aggressive fronts are more common nowadays.

I still hold onto a preference for more multiple defensive fronts/alignments, which we haven't seen much of in Buffalo this millennium.

The difference in QB availability for these two franchises is insanely slanted in favor of the team that pays offensive linemen, but that could have a lot to do with the QBs themselves.

Never understand why teams rush 3 guys on hail mary’s.  The QB has to run up to throw it that far.  The slightest amount of pressure prevents the run up.

Agree. For a moment it looked like they were going to bring 5 guys and I thought for a moment, finally someone gets it. The WR had to run 65 yards in pads. That is at least 7 sec. That leaves plenty of time to rush the passer before they get to the endzone.

You take things away, you force the offense to do something. Same as it’s always been.

I was thinking watching this game, how horrendous is Jake Browning that Flacco comes in and puts up 350 and 3 TDs. And Browning wasn’t even semi-competent while throwing to Chase and Higgins.

That big throw to Higgins on the last drive is a perfect example of that. Higgins wasn’t even open 1-on-1 and Flacco just threw a lollipop up and Higgins adjusted while it was mid-air and ran under it. Literally “Higgins down there somewhere”.

I disagree.  Flacco threw tight spirals into small windows all night—and Chase, great as he is, dropped 2 perfect passes.

Browning was certainly considered semi-competent and he did nothing with those 2. Flacco was on fire
