Its mcdermotts defense wtf do you mean?! Its his scheme and players. Same problems for the last 8 1/4 years. Mcdermott is the only one not getting fired or let go.

I think the defensive picks are the guys McDermott wants.

Offence is of course most likely a combination of Josh/Beane/Brady

Ok, I can write the script. After the game McD, the king of scapegoats fires Babich and "takes over" the defense.

Another year, another scapegoat and McD continues to destroy Allen's career.

True. The curse of this team is that Allen will win (and has won) enough games to make McDermott unfireable. It will have to be worse before it gets better, although I can't think of anything worse than losing to Mahomes a fifth time in the playoffs.

The idea that this line should be built with nothing but 3 techs and big stiff DE's is the start of whats wrong.  We're soft in the middle and not good at chasing from the edge.  Put tiny LB's behind that soft middle of a line to make matters worse and then what might be the slowest collection of DB's in the NFL and you have a very mismatched group that is neither fast where it needs to be or stout.

If they either make the call on both the Tre White and Keon Coleman PI's, or decline to call it on both, it's probably a one score game. It's not the determining factor but extending one drive and ending another on the exact same call is precisely how games get "shaded"

My only issue is Beane has never found us a big nickel which was staple of those Carolina defenses. I get McDermott relied on Taron Johnson to be it but he's not.
