This was a great and ridiculous win. The Bills were totally outplayed--at least on defense--though most of the game.

I don't know what you can predict about the rest of the season from this result. The Bills have to fix their defense. There are 16 more games to go. The Bills are likely to have to play the Ravens again and they have to be better. Who knows what the rest of the season will be like.

But right now that doesn't matter. One of the happiest postgame feelings I've had in sixty years of following this team.

We aren’t going to be playing the Ravens every week.  There are some good QBs in the league but the drop off from Allen, Jackson and Mahomes is s big one.  And we  don’t have to play against Allen.

Anyone who is anything less than ecstatic and jubilant and and soaking up the glory of this miraculous and highly memorable comeback win, all I have to say is...

Who hurt you? Why are you the way that you are? Do you walk into the middle oh a hoppin' party and squat over the punch bowl and take a ***** in it? Do you do your taxes on Christmas morning? Do eat your steak well done and covered in ketchup?

I understand the sentiment that the defense needs to be better, and that there's lots to clean up.

BUT...

For the love of God...you don't get many games like that as a sports fan.

If you can't enjoy THAT win without being a party pooper, you really ought to consider quitting sports watching entirely.

This was the Ravens super bowl but they didn't know how to finish it out,  This was the Bills week 1 matchup and were rusty but kept fighting til the end.

one things I'll say...the interior DLine I thought did its job today for the most part in getting vertical and penetrating gaps, and the upgrades were visible, and the last few drives they Bills DLine was wholesale winning their matchups. They also consistently got pressure on Jackson when he dropped back.  That gets lost in the ridiculous running attack the Ravens come at you with....but the Bills invested in the DLine a variety of ways, and in a lot of ways it showed tonight.

One of those QBs is not like the other two.

Theres some silver linings in even that defensive performance imo and they’re honestly pretty undermanned right now.  Baltimore is kind of the perfect storm of sh*tty matchups so you gotta take it a bit with a grain of salt.

pass rush was honestly pretty solid.  after those first two blown plays setting the edge on Lamar bosa seemed to play pretty well. I’m curious how Dorian strong played…didn’t hear his name much which is a good sign lol but I was too overwhelmed to process everything that was going on admittedly 😂  having another good corner for depth would be pretty nice

He had a good game.

He did, played well. Was wondering why he wasn’t out there and if there is an injury.

They said the Ravens were the 1st team to score 40 this year.  Congratulations...that didn't last long.

They are still the first team to score 40 this season.  Buffalo is the first team to score 41.   BTW, I think the over/under on total points scored was around 55.  The betting expert they had on the pregame show said to bet the under.

I was actually impressed throughout the game with our pass rush. Sure, we were getting whipped in general, but that was all about the Run D and we were facing two lethal HOFers. Obviously I thought we were going to lose, but I was actually seeing some light for this defense down the road, even before the comeback. Run D will look better with more practice on fits, the young DTs getting more time, Bosa settling in (if he stays healthy), the suspended guys coming back, and not facing Lamar and Henry every week. I don't think we'll be a great defense - secondary is hard to love right now. But I think the pass rush might be a lot better than last year and might help us be stronger on 3rd downs. Plus, you know, Josh can always drop two fifty in a quarter when we need him to . . .

Secondary has a lot of upside. Benford is a stud.  This was Cole's first ever start. Dorian Strong a rookie. And of course the speedster on IR will be added.

Potential doesn't always turn out, but there's absolutely a pretty high ceiling back there

As a Knicks fan I despise you for picking this image (and hope Reggie Millers catches the clap). As Bills fan I absolutely love it.

We practically have been here before.  10/2/22 Bills at Baltimore.  Early on Baltimore is dominating.  Eventually it's 20-20 late in the game but the Ravens are driving inside our 10 & about to go ahead late in the 4th quarter.  I was in the endzone they were driving to & I turned to a Ravens fan & said "I don't care if you score here, we're still going to win the game".  Lamar throws a pick in the endzone, Bills drive all the way down the field, run out the clock deep in Baltimore territory almost identical to tonight and Bass kicks the game winner as time runs out on the Ravens.

I was at that game

McDermotts record is as good as it is because of Allen

Just as Bellichick's record is as good as it is because of Brady

and Reid's record is as good as it is because of Patrick Mahomes and Donovan McNabb

and Shula's record is as good as it is because of Unitas and Marino

and Walsh's record is as good as it is because of Montana

and...

well, you get the picture. If you are trying to say that McDermott would be terrible (would always have a mediocre or losing record) without Josh, I think you are dead wrong. But, yes, of course his record is better with Josh than it would be without Josh---but then you could say that about any coach that had one or more HOF QBs.

Josh just missed 400 - remember the days when people would be pissed he couldn't break 300 lol.

Crazy that affer the terrible way this game was going for so long, in the end it throws him right in the MVP conversation to start the year

Crazy part is Josh is probably a bit frustrated with himself lol I think there was potential for that game to be a much more traditional shootout that we win in a more normal way if he didn’t check into that short yardage hurry up run in the first half and didn’t slide so early that the refs could blow the call in the second half
