I was trying to make the point that I think Ingram would be better knowing our system than somebody with the same traits who doesn't know it 

 

 I think our back end guys who know the system will play better than another back-end guy who has to learn it

Point taken.  If it makes you feel any better, there’s a large faction of Chiefs fans who are up in arms over bringing back Derrick Nnadi to be a backup because he was below average during his 6 seasons as a starter for the team.  Evidently there are quality starters out there just lining up to be 2nd and 3rd stringers if only you know where to look.

Right, but he seems to be the most commonly mentioned player to sign as a replacement if Hairston and White are going to be shelved for a few weeks or more.  Williams would be a much better option if available, IMO.  My fear is that the Chiefs cut him and the Bills sign him.  My hope is that the Chiefs cut Nazeh Johnson instead in which case you’re more than welcome to scoop him up.

I think he is who would be brought in if they both are to miss more than a couple games. But I think it would be depth and he wouldn't be my choice. But this regime constantly values experience in the Defense over talent. It's why we keep bringing back Jordan Phillips. It's why we dug up the bones of Josh Norman.

 

I personally think Douglas is toast. But I know they'd turn to him over anyone else first. Especially this close to the start of the regular season. They wouldn't trust someone new to come in and quickly get down his scheme. And/or they don't want to put in the extra work of teaching someone the Defense with everything else they're focusing on.

 

I personally would bring in someone else. But realistically, I know they wouldn't do that.

yeah that's weird verbiage. Wonder if on purpose to smokescreen the Ravens, but honestly I'd rather him not play week 1 as I'm sure Baltimore would target him given banged up and they know him
