WotAGuy Posted August 1 Posted August 1 All I ever hear about are the players that are “last to leave”. Could be sleeping in a closet for all I know. Buncha crap I tell ya. 1 Quote

Shots fired. Seems like a pretty harsh judgement on his character. Any particular statement that makes you think this? 1 3 3 Quote
uticaclub Posted August 2 Posted August 2 This isn't a real quote or a legitimate website. I'm not saying that Keon hasn't worked hard or that Josh isn't at the facility before sunrise. However, who interviewed Keon to obtain this quote? This story appears to have been created on social media to generate clicks for that questionable site. 1 Quote

Thrivefourfive Posted August 2 Posted August 2 KC0 has to be a Tee Higgins threat out there. If a defense doesn’t account for Higgins, he’ll kill you. Why can’t Coleman be as effective as Higgins..?? Physically, he’s there. Quote

billsfan89 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Reminds me of that old Larry Bird story where two of his teammates try to get to practice before him and every time they beat him Larry would just show up 30 minutes earlier to the point where they show up at 530am and Larry was there. Quote
transient Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Keon's at a distinct disadvantage here. He could leave an hour earlier for practice than Allen, but at the end of the day, you know Allen's going to catch him and pass him (you know... cuz Keon's soooo slow). 1 Quote

DCofNC Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I’m guessing it’s not the Keon can’t beat Josh to the parking lot, but he’s losing the foot race to get inside. 1 Quote

He and Tre were the best players on the field IMO. I’ll hold off on the gold jacket until games start but he looked good. He’s limited but that’s okay. If he can catch slants and go, he can be effective. That’s pretty much all Michael Thomas did and he had a great career. Kudos for being able to acknowledge potential and progress when you see it even when you have had previous concerns. Seems like nothing, but not a lot of people capable of that around here. Thats being a fan, where its fair to have concerns but also not so married to those concerns and opinions that you can't even acknowledge positive developments. He still has to prove it on the field when the games get real, but its refreshing to see someone not just married to their initial opinion and open to seeing him for what he is doing at any given moment. It also makes it more exciting to hear coming from someone who both saw it in person and also previously had concerns about him. Means he is really making an impression and its not just camp fodder. Again, still has to prove it on the field when the season starts, but I was already in the camp expecting a breakout of sorts by him, so seeing your post adds to that optimism. I checked the link and I was in fact connected to the site! Perhaps this goes much deeper, should I scrap my computer? I think it might be have been infiltrated by foreign assets. Anyways, when does Keon show up at the facility, you seem to be in the know? Quote

Anyone can create a website, put up phony content, fill it with ads and collect revenue on inadvertent clicks. This board is for sharing factual information and opinions, but promoting clickbait pages. I have no idea when Keon shows up or when Josh does, but what I do know is this website and quote are not legitimate. Edited August 2 by uticaclub Quote

Calm down, no one is intentionally "promoting clickbait pages", and this link is NOT where I found the story. The story, not the link, was being discussed on a number of Bills and Bills Mafia pages I am a member of. All I did was do a quick search and found the first link I could find just so I could copy and paste the quote instead of typing it. Does it mean its 100% real, no, but I also had no reason to believe the story was false before I looked for a link. What I do know is it aligns with things he and Allen have both stated all offseason in his commitment. End of the day, this is a minor story, real or not, in what was already a stellar offseason. Its not the kind of story that is worth the time to go and literally watch the hours and hours of Keon interviews to see if this was something he really said in one of those. If you want to, great, but I won't be as the story isn't that important. Was just sharing something that seemed like a fun story that was showing up in some other places I follow. One day I came in at 7:30, still there. I thought I’d beat him and arrived at 6 one morning. Josh was already grinding.” https://t2news.cafex.biz/blog/buffalo-bills-rising-star-keon-coleman-in-awe-of-josh-allens-relentless-leadership-i-tried-to-beat-him-to-the-stadiumdidnt-happen-hoangplus?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwL6BpxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHgN6dIrmiiIGKVlCCZV-l5I7mWoCL_g0HIengx63HEOzcn6Q4Jps68crwahV_aem_I7kIS-xxhQYxsHZDtKF5WQ#mdtag4ucwpe2r2ehwf9 Thank God it’s not a foot race for Keon’s sake. 2 Quote

The Coleman version appears (to me, I could be wrong) to be an A.I. copy. I have recently noticed a couple of "quotes" from NFL players being the same from different players for different teams - especially on Facebook. As A.I. becomes increasingly prevalent, we should be increasingly skeptical of what we read. 3 Quote
Johnny Bravo Posted August 2 Posted August 2 17 hours ago, Alphadawg7 said: Good post. I think Keon is poised for a breakout of sorts this year, but that’s just my opinion. What matters more are the signs and facts that the kid is putting in the work and effort when it matters to reach his potential and be the best player he can be on the field. And what’s been abundantly clear this offseason is that not only has he taken the criticism professionally, but he’s out there doing the work to be the best he can be. And for a second year player, that’s the most you can ask for and hope that reaching his potential turns out to equal a player who can start and help us win games. Agreed. I also love that Keon his his strongest critic. He press conference where he basically said he was trash last year was awesome. I don’t agree with Keon (I though he was pretty decent), but I loved that he wasn’t satisfied and knew he needed to improve. 1 1 Quote
