should have drafted him.  Shame

You just can't draft every feel-good story... It was never going to happen it doesn't make sense for either side

The bills have Bernard Milano Dorian Williams Thompson and are developing andreeson

That's way too many numbers to be drafting another guy at that spot when you have your current starters... And future starters in Bernard and Dorian Williams

And andreesen getting developed

It doesn't make sense for either side... If we didn't take andreessen last year, I could see it

The second he made the roster dolac went out the window last year.. he was never going to be brought in by the Buffalo Bills

That 2024 draft is a real dumpster fire. I'm talking in general just not the Bills draft which is below par as well. There were good players found but they were few and far between so far. I'll withhold going all in on it yet since its only year 2 but man thats an ugly draft so far.

Some drafts are just like that.  I think the 2000 draft was also notable for lacking in many outstanding players.

I think you’re right, Urlacher is the only one that really comes to mind before a certain 6th round QB.

Quality over quantity.  Maybe 2024 ends up that way, but we won't know for a while.

2024 draft was amazing for franchise QBs, which we had, and WRs which we needed and only got one

The perception of the WR class was excellent but again only after one year, I’d disagree that it was as good as it was hyped to be to this point

There were six QBs taken in the first round in 2024, and of the ones who played as rookies, all of them seemed to do better than most rookie QBs.   My guess is that 5 or 6 QBs from this class are NOT going to become franchise QBs.   When it all shakes out, I think it's likely only 1 or 2 become high level franchise QBs but 1 or 2 others could become decent starting QBs, so it's likely that this might be an excellent QB draft.   It will be hard to beat the 2018 class with Josh and Lamar on track to be future HOFers plus Baker and maybe even Sam Darnold being very good franchise QBs.

Think this is absolutely fair. Nabers, BTJ and Ladd had great rookie years but given we were talking ten in the first two rounds it hasn't quite lived up. Interestingly Corley (who I thought at the time was way overdrafted, never a day two pick for me) was WR11 at the top of the third round. I know the regime has changed but to be on the outs by the end of your second camp....... wowzers.

why do you think their defence will take a few steps back out of curiosity?

I don't think they lost any key starters, did they? Unless I am missing some

They lost Reid, but I doubt that will cause them to take a few steps back. His replacement is talented and actually probably better in pass coverage.

They also added a good vet corner and drafted a couple promising DL prospects.

Interesting

Interesting but they felt stacked enough to let him go AND trade theilen today... I thought that report was nuts but Minny gave them an offer they'd have been nuts to turn down,  especially considering its 1 year rental.

Id kick tires on renfrow though. Feels pretty redundant in that room for us though

I don't know if I like Renfrow more than a healthy Samuel or Moore. He may make a roster somewhere, but I'd love him on the Bills PS.

I would say relative to the hype/where they were drafted:

  • Harrison - disappointing but promising still
  • Nabers - hit
  • Odunze - disappointing, could go either way still
  • Thomas - hit
  • Worthy - need to see more, but pretty promising
  • Pearsall - need to see more, but pretty promising
  • Legette - need to see more, could go either way (lean disappointing)
  • Coleman - need to see more, could go either way (lean promising)
  • McConkey - hit
  • Polk - bust
  • AD Mitchell - not enough snaps to really say and disaster QB situation
  • Corley - bust
  • Burton - not enough snaps to say, lean bust
  • Roman Wilson - getting some camp hype this year but TBD
  • McMillan - promising rookie season
  • McCaffrey - not enough snaps to say, lean bust

That's all the top 3 round guys. Outside the top 3 rounds, Franklin is getting some camp hype this year, Devaughn Vele had a strong rookie season relative to draft position, and Jalen Coker was very promising as an UDFA guy off the top of my head.

At any rate, I feel like that's a pretty strong start for the class. If Harrison and Odunze both end up being busts that would be a pretty big whiff on both but I don't personally see that being the case.

Meh. I think its a little disappointing given the hype. Doesn't mean it will look like that by the end of 2025. But for a class that hyped the rookie returns were underwhelming. Especially given we know WR is a position these days you can step in and have impact early.

Well, he is now an ex Panther so the Bills may give him a look.
