I can probably work with that but the boss is going to want a bag of Andy Capp's Hot Fries thrown in as well.

This is why I love you. All time GOAT snack. Have half a bag sitting in the pantry as well.

But Spector aint worth parting with my Hot Fries. You can keep him.

at this point, cam newton should be brought in to backup josh since this pipeline is never ending. lol

Cam today would still be better than any backup they have had in the Allen era. Let's hope we never have to see how bad they are in a real game.

Last time Cam played it was clear his arm/shoulder was completely shot. He couldn't get the ball to receivers. He was underthrowing everything and skipping the ball at the feet of receivers.

I've seen him play plenty to know he's not worth keeping on the 53.

You haven't seen him play much at all. He is always injured.

Dude gets injured every year. Guy was a good LB back in the day and every time he gets hurt I’m like why is this guy still playing just retire.

Maybe as a backup , you’ll get him through the season and he’d be a good spot starter. If he’s LB # 4 then cool it gets one of of the bottom 3 off the roster

Drafted a year before Shaq Lawson. I was watching both teams and had a heck of a time remembering which Shaq was which.

Not sure what he has left in the tank but he’s not a dope. If his health is there, a guy we don’t have to be terrified of using late in the season.

We're still in the market for dudes

The Bills?  Or the 'slippery rubber mats'? 🤔

After a good first week of training camp, Beane will sign Thompson to an impressive and lucrative extension. 😁

They changed hot fries a few years ago and they’re no where near as good anymore.

I'm having some right now, and they seem to be just as "good" as always. 🤷‍♂️

6 games the last 2 years.

Very low pass defense production, very poor missed tackle rate (18+%) and completions percentage (80+%) during those 6 games.

was solid 3 years ago, though.

Competition for Dorian Williams at Sam and LB3, but Williams should win. Buffalo Joe could still win LB4 as well.

Morrow has been a career 3rd or 4th baker his entire career.  Thompson has been pro bowl approaching All pro level much of his career.  As depth and veteran voice in the room I like it.  Again different style of player and a guy Williams could benefit from.

Well, I am not far off of where you were at... clearly in his prime he is better than Morrow, hopefully if asked to step up he is better than Morrow, but ultimately what  I meant by that is he is not there to take away time from Bernard or Milano or maybe even Dorian, he is there to be a vet presence to help these guys... that said... I think he has a shot more than Morrow did to step in if Bernard or Milano go down assuming he stays healthy which is a problem... but I am hoping that Williams takes the leap and is that guy...  but your points are quite fair I think.

Love this signing - low risk, potential high reward

As an added bonus, he's good mentoring for younger guys like Dorian Williams and Buffalo Joe

why does everyone assume vets will "mentor" younger players?

Like Nick Morrow or Deion Jones?

I am not a Baylor Spector or Dorian Williams believer, so any competition is good IMO. Especially with how often our LBers seem to get hurt.

This is likely Milano's last year so they must be feeling pretty good about Dorian Williams because they haven't drafted anybody else yet.

This is going to be McD's 9th season in Buffalo. It's incredible that there was still a player in Carolina from McD's tenure there.

I think the only guy left is the long snapper

So you're saying the well hasn't dried
