Cook was on fire, not stoppable. Feed him more and then the rest would have opened up more too, as KC would change things to stop him

 

 McD seems to feel the way most of us do about that game, it seems, so that is a good sign--he is a man who does not forget and learns from the past

Brown signed a 6.5m guaranteed 1 year deal. So irregardless of what he's done, he's going to be there. Obviously, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and new Draft Pick Jalen Royals are all not going anywhere either. So that's 4 locked in. The other guys can be viewed as replaceable. But i'd argue most teams 5th or 6th WR's are looked at as replaceable. If they keep 5 like us, former 2nd Round Pick Skyy Moore, Juju Smith-Schuster, and Tyquan Thornton is a good collection of guys competing for the last roster spot.

The second-year pro out of Ole Miss remains on the team despite having been frustrated enough with his reduced role in the offense to ask for a trade. The Jets declined his request and now that the trade deadline has come and gone, the two sides need to figure out how to work together.

 

Hours after the Jets’ 27-10 victory against the Packers on Oct. 16, Moore quoted a tweet saying he was targetted zero times.

 

“If I say what I really wanna say… I’ll be the selfish guy…we winning,” Moore said in the tweet. “Grateful! Huge blessing! All I ever wanted. Bittersweet for me, but I’ll be solid. So I’ll just stay quiet. Just know I don’t understand either.”

 

 

While he practiced on Wednesday of the following week, the 2021 second-round pick was sent home the next day following a reported disagreement with Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. Then Jets coach Robert Saleh announced before the game against the Broncos on Oct. 23 that Moore would not travel with the rest of the team following his trade request.

 

Moore returned to the team following the win against the Broncos but played only 10 snaps in the 22-17 loss against the Patriots. Although he was not traded, Moore said it wasn’t easy to turn the page and start over fresh with the Jets organization.

 

“I’m a human, so it takes time,” Moore said. “Being the man that I am, I always try to reset my mind every time I go home. I go to the things that I believe in and that’s God.

 

Again, please keep in mind he was on the Jets.

 

My fav kinda reclamation project at this point.  All the talent in the world, sent to an abysmal staff [is anybody questioning this being top-5 worst staffs of the decade?], with abysmal QB play..... then goes to Clev and improves, but deals with much of the same.  Now hes getting his first real NFL lockerroom & QB, hes 25 and has a chance to prove he wasnt a malcontent, and get paid.  Josh Allen.  Wide open Depth Chart at WR.  If he cant do it here, theres not a place he will.

 

Plus his malcontent quote (not saying you believe its that) isnt even bad.  Every WR wants the ball.... getting 0 targets and "low targets" are quite a distance between each other. I dont want any WR that isnt PO'd about getting 0 targets. Quote isnt that bad, and I dont trust that staff enough to accept they were in the right here.  Sounded then and now, like he got railroaded by an arrogant HC & OC, which fits the bill

Yep, problem is he was one of the worst YAC guys in the league last year.

 Low ADOT, 5.2 yds/tgt, 8.5 yds/catch with a horrible passer rating when targeted. Scored 1 TD on 102 targets.  He doesn't scare anyone and will not increase 2 high safety looks from the defense. This pickup does not stretch the field or give them any more space underneath which is what they are lacking.

We were an extra 1-2 1st downs away from putting that game away. Having absolutely no pressure generated from our outside WRs took away a huge segment of the offense. It narrows the field you have to guard completely, but also the depth of the field. I think having some respectable outside threats or speed completely finishes opening up the offense.

 

Amazing what we were able to do without real X & Z guys.  The square footage a defense has to truly respect will double if we stay healthy and/or get some better play outside.... and when you do that to a defense it's gunna pop the top for guys like Shakir/Kincaid.

I agree, maybe with Josh we can deploy him differently. I thought he was a primary target for Winston and Deshaun. My prediction is he plays his best football for us.&

The answer for the offense has been a semi John Brown guy. If he can get some respect outside ? Its a win , otherwise.. we shall see
