Bosa is much more active and contributes on passing and run plays. More than solid. He had 8 sacks in 10 games. With the game on the line against the Chiefs in KC, he closed out the game by taking down Mahomes - which is what we brought him in for. Again, I love what I'm seeing out of Bosa. We all know that Miller was never the same guy after the ACL tear and we only got 10 games of true Von in 3 years. But I think saying he looked better than Von "ever" did for us is revisionist history - focusing on the end sum result of his signing and the present, while misconstruing the past. That said, Bosa has the chance to be more of an impact player for this team that Von was for us in 3 years if he can stay healthy all season. But this game up against Von's best game is, at best, heavily debatable. Edited September 14 by BillsFanForever19 3 1 7 Quote
CSBill Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I was not sure about Bosa after three quarters of watching Lamar Jackson fool him on every read-option he ran, but I'm starting to warm up to him after today. At least he does not stop on plays like Von consistently did. 2 Quote

I think Von's 8 sacks before he got injured are misleading. Yes he got sacks but he wasn't the disruptive force in the run game and pressures that Bosa has been through 2 games. And that's with Bosa playing two of the most elusive QBs in the pocket in the league in Lamar and Fields. I am REALLY looking forward to see what he does against a pocket passer with a weaker OL...like Tua on Thursday. 3 3 Quote

Let's not let the bad taste in our mouth on how Von's time ended make us forget how good he was for that half season stretch Bosa looks amazing though 5 3 1 Quote

If it were 'Bosa looked better in that game than the majority of Von's tenure" or "Bosa looked better in that game than Von did in any game in 2023 or 2024" - no question. That's not even up for debate. But to say "ever"? That's definitely up for debate. But Bosa is the now and boy does he look great! If he can stay healthy, we've finally got a pass rush that can disrupt QB's. 1 1 1 Quote
JerseyBills Posted September 14 Posted September 14 like Romo said - could be the steal of FA , multiple pressures, 3 FF , sack in 2 games, he just looks extremely sharp , what a steal 5 1 Quote
DC Greg Posted September 14 Posted September 14 (edited) I wish they would have signed him to a multi year deal. If he stays healthy, it’s going to be a very expensive new multi year contract. Edited September 14 by DC Greg 1 Quote

Which means the Bills have the option to pay him, tag him or let him go for an almost assured 3rd round comp pick. It's the reason you make a move like this. Great problem to have 3 2 2 Quote

I could see 3yrs $60M or so, close to what Groot got, maybe slightly more.. I do hope we can sign him though. I love the guy. Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted September 14 Posted September 14 He is really starting to get acclimated to our defense. I want to see LESS reps, so we have him in January. BTW you could just tell by his face how happy he is. Nice to be on a contending team with our QB 1 4 1 1 Quote

Nice to be on a contending team with our QB I was worried about how he would fare here, given his... arrogance (being "a Bosa", coming from Ohio St, being in SD/LA). Would he really play here, or just see it as a small detour in his career and path to a bigger market? But man, he's really embraced it. I loved hearing him talk about how Buffalo reminds him of his days at OSU and that college atmosphere back when he was playing for the love of the game. He really does seem to be enjoying every second. I always want players to get as much money as they can, but hopefully his $155M in career earning and the chance to win multiple championships with Josh help get him to give us a home team discount. 7 1 Quote

I do too but it could be that himself and his agent knew he still had alot of juice left and wanted a 1 year prove it deal vs getting low balled on a multi year Basically just bet on himself 3 Quote
Success Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I was sooooo hoping we'd get THIS Bosa. He has added a lot to this defense - and to the attitude of the team. He brings great energy. 3 Quote
BeastMaster Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I would pump the brakes on this guy until we have played a majority of games. Not sure some of you actually know just how injury prone this guy has been, or if we are ignoring it for the time being, but flexing about Bosa being a great signing is very premature at this point 2 Quote

But the rubber meets the road in January and February. 1 Quote

Thought Babich played him a bit too long today. Why the risk? no lose signing by Beane: 1. If he gets injured, he wasn’t that pricey and wasn’t worth the gamble 2. If he’s great, maybe we can resign him?? 3. If he’s great and he signs elsewhere we get a 3rd comp pick probably. these types of signings are great 2 Quote

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I don't think anyone really questioned Bosa's abilities. The question is can he stay healthy. So far his play is great though am bit surprised to see him with as high a snap count as he's had which does make me a bit nervous. Quote
Spiderweb Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Von Miller was once a Superman but even during his best run while the Bills, he wasn't anything like that. His quitting on plays drove me to dislike him very much. What a horrific waste of $$. Quote
