And I also admitted my defeat…..amidst the arrogance.

To be fair, the article was posted October 2nd.  This may or may not currently still be the case

I didn’t see that you had responded.. my apologies. I was just saying  it had been reported. To your point not a word since so could be he’s still looked at as a S. All good 👍 and my bad on the snark.

Fascinating that the Bills don’t think he’s lost. I don’t think he’s great but he’s been serviceable imho. I’ve seen him play poorly on a few plays but he’s not lost.

He takes really bad angles on run plays, he gives up a lot of yards in the air due to not knowing where he should be and he runs into blocks very often and never disengages. I'm rooting for him because he's on our team and I want everyone to do well. But it's apparent that we have different views of what a good player looks like.

Zero reason to trust McDermott on personnel decisions.

He started Trent Murphy for three years and he was worse than Epenesa.

He didn't recognize Teller.

He started Peterman.

Heck even Poona Ford is playing ok for Chargers (15 tackles and 1 sack). If you say that is not much it's double he had with Bills last year and on pace for what he did with Seattle on a regular basis. Oh and it's 3 more tackles than Oliver has.

Obviously with the training camp injury Hamlin was starting. But it's still very curious that Edwards can't even dress for game day and rotate in for a few series per game.

This is a God awful take. One of your worst.

He also wanted Kair Elam...

This article is bunk. Did Edwards actually say he wants to be traded? Where's the quote? Who's the source? It's just conjecture. He's not playing, therefore he is "available" to a team that he can play for. Phony journalism or AI, not sure which.

SI is reporting that ESPN reporters Insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano reported stated he was available for trade but the article is only available to ESPN+ subscribers.  Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano have been with ESPN for many years.

This has what media has been become.  Unless you are willing to pay to read the article you can only hear things second hand and it feels like rumors.

I mean, not to go too off topic, but this is what the media has always been. You always used to pay for newspapers or magazines. It's only recently that the consumer has come to expect everything for free.

The trade value is so low that I'd rather have him as depth than get a 7th round pick swap.

I get his side of it if he's unhappy, but that's the way it goes. Sometimes you're just not the guy, I know it well. I've played on a lot of club sports teams and often times I've gotten pushed from a featured position into a role player. Can't let ego get to you.

Apparently Mike Edwards wants out and I can't say that I'm surprised. I would have liked to have seen him get an opportunity but McDermott and Co. are clearly in the camp of Hamlin and Bishop the rest of the season and letting Edwards go and bringing up another safety like Cine would be an easy transition. Wouldn't expect more than a late round pick swap or a solo draft pick. Could see the Bills wanting to get back that 2026 pick they gave up for Codrington.

This is one thing i don't know that i will ever understand about how our coaches come to the conclusion of leaving a player inactive or in some cases not bringing them up from the practice squad .

Here is a player that has been to the big game 2 times & come away a winner i would think at least put him on the field to see what he can give you . Hamlin knows the D but has some short comings in his game maybe given more of a chance this guy could be a little bit better but i guess we will never know .

Sure you can't put him in if he's injured and he was but just to see if at the end of some of the blow outs like last week why not sit the rookie for a game & let him play unless the difference in up side with the rookie is that much higher .

I don't know where the narrative that Hamlin sucks has come from. He isn't an impact starter or anything, hut he is fine. He is like Levi Wallace. Replaceable, but not a liability, either.

I know where it comes from - watching Hamlin play in previous seasons.  I thought he sucked too.  I wondered last year if his spot on the roster was merely PR and sympathy.  I had doubts he'd make the squad this year.

But, to my eyes, he's playing at another level this year.  Not Pro Bowl.  Not elite.  But decent.  He seems to understand the defense and mostly be in the right place at the right time.

When it takes 3 subscription services to watch Bills games now? You have made me chuckle. 🤭

What does tv have to do with reading articles? This is a weird non sequitur.

But to play along if you want to go further off track and complain about the streaming, it's the same whiny complaint people had when they started showing games on ESPN. "Now I have to have cable! Why cant they just keep it over the antenna?" Times are changin, gramps.

He had a rough start this season too. But has started to show steady improvement. Maybe getting that first career INT under his belt helped him settle into the position.

Still think we can do better, but I'm not calling for his head like I was in September.
