He’s required to sit through a 90 minute presentation (which includes a PowerPoint) before he can leave.

To find out he can only use his timeshare on February 29th

Good stuff here:

Also interesting note, Blackmon was drafted for Matt Eberflus’ defense in Indy. His concepts are very similar to ours, that’s why Chicago went after Tremaine Edmunds. When you watxh the video on Cover 1, Blackmon looks like a cross between Hyde and Poyer. I think he’s a great fit and my optimistic gut says it happens.

Man I try to will things to happen, but I must have done some bad things in my previous life. Got no luck!

My positive spin is that there is a bunch of medical verbiage that needs to be in the thing.

As I pointed out, no one visiting has signed so far.  Samuel etc. Just signed, no in person visits.   The DT we had in signed with someone soon after visiting with us.

It’s a good and fair point. My only counter to that is that we have no idea if any of those guys visited and it just wasn’t reported. So who knows 🤷‍♂️

Anyone have anything solid on this? Are we waiting for him to clear medical before they sign him? Are we at that point or is this a fantasy? Certainly we have to have some concrete evidence anything????

Usually if they leave it’s not a good thing.

They need to crap or get off the pot. Print some money and pay in signing bonuses but for Pete's sake do something.

Glad they signed Rapp. Lewis is just a special teamer and break glass Safety. Hamlin, who knows. We need to sign 2 like today.

could this be a situation where we won't have the $ until after June 1st, but an agreement is reached and he won't sign until after then?

he's young enough he doesn't have to wait

does he want that much money that we haven't signed him yet?

I guess so. Or he wouldn't agree to a physical or didn't pass ours?

I will say if you look at sportrac, We are already 10 million over next years cap.

Draft a safety round 4 and start him.

insane because we began the offseason $30mm under.  we are $62mm under for 2026.

almost want to make a historical thread covering this.

It's just stupid to be over AGAIN before next year gets here.  Diggs and Vons contracts are killing us.

More reason to think they’re going to figure out a way to trade Diggs and move up in this year’s draft?  Would at least start to address cap space for next year, plus potentially give Josh a younger WR stud to be throwing to.

I know fans cling to players, but yes...I would be working the phones for a trade up.  Swap #28 and Diggs for a top 15 spot if possible.

11 million over is absolutely nothing

The point is we can't sit here over the cap to start each offseason.

Lmao sorry to get you all worked up.

I’m zero worked up. But this has been discussed a few times. It’s not that the Bills wouldn’t trade Diggs, it’s that they just can’t afford to. I’m not a cap expert but several posters have mentioned how bad the $$$ would be to trade him.

it's an extra 3 million this year before June 1. Not exactly immovable if they wanted to deal him

Sure but a $22M dead cap for 2025 that’s the bigger issue. A 67 page thread has been dedicated to Diggs and his trade $$ cost. I’m all in for a Diggs trade while he still commands value. Just not sure it’s feasible based on what I read of the 67 pages. Just thought this thread was about Blackmon 😂

Seriously....Unless he rebounds, he's not worth the contract he has and no team will take it on, also, barring anything outrageous happening, he won't be released.  He's on the team this year.

Calvin Ridley - 4 years 92 million

76 rec, 1016 yds , 8td's

Stefon Diggs - 4 years, 96 million

107 rec, 1183 yds, 8 tds

The odds that Diggs and Von are here next season is slim anyway

Again, Dude, Please Stop.  You've been beating this drum over and over and over again in the Diggs thread, where it's at least topical.  Now you're gonna run around the board taking this into other threads?

It's an extra $22 million (minus whatever part of the $18.5M fully guaranteed salary the trade partner is willing to accept) at this point

PLUS

Creating a significant hole on the team by trading the best WR on the team, and the only 1000+ yd, 100 reception+  receiver we've had for the last 4 seasons.

This isn't like trading Tyreek Hill where Kelce is Pat Mahomes "guy" anyway.

Most people last season felt what the Bills needed was a second receiving target who is on the same or better talent level than Diggs, so "draft a WR who we hope will be good and develop to be a #1" not "replace Diggs with an unproven draft pick and cross your little fingers"

Cool.  What are their playoff stats?

Again, not worth it IMO.
