Is there anything this fanbase can't spin into a positive? 😂

It’s probably personal reasons he doesn’t want to share publicly which is the right thing to do. Depending how bad the “non football related” issue is would determine if Stef is in the wrong or not. We don’t know what it is at this time and can’t accurately judge who is in the wrong here. There is definitely a ton of smoke around the betrayal rumors.

Why is jones not a distraction but Diggs is?  Strikes me as about the same.

Jones has always been a great teammate.  He's asking for a contract.  That's SOP on the league.  Diggs has a track record of being a loose cannon, and nobody seems to know WTF he wants or is trying to achieve.

Regarding Jones:

He wants an extension.  He is going into the final year of his current deal.  he's 29, but he keeps himself in EXCELLENT shap..and his body type is one that lasts more than some other DT's.  Jones is 6'5 295.  He's lean and ripped.  Alot like Reggie White type of body.  It should last for a while longer.  ...he's also commented many times that he wants to be a Chief for life.  Last time Jones was due for an extension, this is exactly what happend then as well.  He'll hold out...but really he's waiting on Quennin Williams to get done so when he signs his deal,,,it won't be surpassed for a while.  Williams is the other DT due an extension of many this offseason that hasn't signed yet.

The salary cap isn't the problem in this case for the Chiefs....actually getting an extension done on Jones will give them some cap relief as they'll suddenly have years of room to kick money into.  KC will do it, but they are always reluctant to put out the CASH.

Anyhow.  Jones loves KC, wants to retire a Chief....he's just using the only leverage he has to push.  No one in KC is wondering what's up.

I wonder if there is 80+ pages of pure speculation and hatred towards him, oh and possibly a "Is this a make or break season for Andy Reid".

Bit different since he's already delivered 2 sb wins to that team.

It kinda shows that defense isn't/shouldn't always be the main focus when you have a top tier Qb that you should be building around.

Not really, because ultimately, I believe they will pay hiom, and he will be one of the highest paid DT’s in the league.

Hes still a beast
Reid's team has been sacrificing players salary to keep the band together. See Mahomes Kelce
Jones should get paid. Its his last payday and he earned it
