Lol first it’s way way to early to determine this!  As for Allen his issue right now is the team has yet to make it so they can win even on a bad day for him.  Before anyone says “no team wins when their QB isn’t good” that’s not true the Colts won a SB with Manning playing less than awesome! He made key plays but had a meh game for him.. The Bills need to be able to do that in ANY game for Allen. If for no other reason to get the pressure off the guy a bit.

this was the only real counter I had… too early.  But as of right now, until proven otherwise it’s a reasonable comparison. Just based purely on championship results.

Chiefs went through same kind of rebuild pats did… and Tommy also ran some pretty no name wr rooms to Lombardis.

Where did they announce this? Guess I missed it.

Check most major sports news organization.  And a good portion of those QB Power Ranking sites.

Even NFL.com has it ranked pretty close to what I said.

Ouch!

QBR- Allen is at #12

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

SI has Allen as #3 but this was before we lost to Cincinnati. Most rankings that have Allen ahead of Burrow were from before the season started.

Rivers received 2 votes in 2008 & 2 in 2009. The one year you provided that gets me is 2010, he didn't receive any votes, so I'm not sure why you listed it? Brady was the unanimous choice that year, receiving all 50 votes. Imo you can't be a serious contender without a single vote to your credit. Rivers never finished higher than 3rd in the mvp race and Josh has already equaled his mvp vote total for his career.

I see your bad takes on Josh and the other top qbs continue. So far you have 1 person that agrees with you, a known troll, that should tell you enough.

Yep misread the offensive mvp 2010.

so Phil got 2 votes each in 08 and 09

and Josh got 4 in 2020.

not even remotely similar

Considering one spans his whole 17 year career and the other is only 5 years into his and has already placed higher in said mvp voting, not too similar at all.

I’ve spoken with numerous fans of football, many teams….

Common consensus is Allen is an afterthought. Somewhere between Rivers and Newton.

Mahommes is new Brady, Burrow is new Manning….

so far it all holds up.

sucks we could’ve had that guy

keep these lack luster coaches and keep having garbage drafts and rivers/marino is exactly who he'll be. burrow/mahomes will be the jim kelly to his marino for sure. decimate teams inthe regular season, but never get to the dance.

So far, Allen hasn’t gotten it done, Maholmes IS the unquestioned best, Burrow looks to be #2 at this point and he’s actually taken Maholmes down in their biggest games.  Allen has yet to beat Maholmes in a meaningful game.  I think Allen is more Farve than Rivers, he’s got that wild man to him, he’s fun to watch, he tries to do it all and his team is built just like GB, all the resources dedicated to anything but weapons on O and there are plenty of teams that are better overall, so he has to be perfect.

Josh Allen in the playoffs last year against Patrick Mahomes:

27/37 for 329 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT

Joe Burrow in the playoffs last year against Patrick Mahomes:

23/38 for 250 yards, 2TD, 1 INT

Burrow won 27-24

Allen lost 42-36

Anybody who says Burrow is better against Mahomes than Allen is either not paying attention, or is a troll. I'm sure there will be plenty of excuses about last week as well, but again Burrow went 26-41 for 270 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT. Shockingly awful take.

Has nothing to do with Allen’s WR. The Bills have to learn to win when Allen has 175 yards 2 TD and 3 INT day. Yes the Pats have done that when we had Brady, the Ravens did it a lot with Flacco.

Don't worry, we traded Mahomes for Tre White(with his new knee upgrade he should be better than ever!), Dion Dawkins (Leader of a great O-Line), Zay Jones (a great #2 WR for the Jags), Siran Neal (you literally can't have enough special teams aces), and Tremaine Edmunds (can you believe he's still only 17?).

Here’s an idea we need to call up Frisco and deal Josh for Trey Lance? Who says no I know you wouldn’t
