Meh my opinion is it wasn’t a big deal. These are grown men with pads and helmets. Its fun, snowballs don’t hurt. Play on.. lets have fun. Stop crying

Oh really?  Let me hit you in the eye with one, and then come back and tell me that it doesn’t hurt.

Lol at being seriously injured by a snowball. And no there weren’t ice balls. There was like 8 inches of snow in everyone’s seat what did you think people were going to do. The people complaining from their homes is hilarious.

I don't suppose either of you are aware of the time the Chargers equipment manager got hit in the back of the head by a snowball at a Giants game - took a fall and lost consciousness.

I think this is a classic division amongst the old breed of Bills fans and the younger generation. Older generation hates the Bills Mafia term, breaking tables, throwing snowballs and general debauchery. The old breed is more composed, orderly, etc. younger crowd obviously buys into Smashing tables, fingering bum holes in the stands, doing favors for Kiko Alonso jerseys in hammers lot, etc.

so of course you have people on here arguing for both sides. I gotta say, I’m 30 and I personally appreciated throwing snowballs at the dolphins after what they did to us in week 3. If it was any other team, I’d be against it. But there is a significantly higher chance of someone getting heat stroke or worse in Miami in September than someone being injured by an “ice ball” (we all know it was snow, not ice).

Nothing personal, boater.........but if you aren't there braving the elements and supporting the team financially and screaming your lungs out for the defense then you should probably keep your opinions about the crowd to yourself.

The NFL got exactly what they wanted when they scheduled that game in December and moved it to Saturday night.    Anyone who is embarrassed about the engagement and passion of that crowd last night is a true fan hater.

Throwing snowballs at players is a definition of a passionate fanbase?

I do think there’s an element of ‘there’s snow, let’s throw it’. Kid stuff nostalgic stuff. I can live with that.

Bingo...this is what it felt like to me.  Not the same as Philly fans putting batteries inside of Snowballs and pelting them at Players.  I was sitting in the 100 level and saw Bills fans get hit with snow coming from the Upper Deck and they just laughed it off.  It was just a festive atmosphere after all this hype of a Saturday night primetime game against Miami that was going to be a Snowgame.

If that is the definition of division between two segments of the fanbase, I consider myself fortunate to be part of said “old breed”.

No

Throwing snow in the air to celebrate is fine and looks great on TV

Throwing anything toward the field is bush league and a terrible look

Everyone knows Bills fans play in the Labatts league. The Busch League is for old St. Louis Rams fans...

I thought that snowballs aimed at the Dolphins bench were fair game because the Dolphins sat our team in the  roasting sun in the game earlier in the year.  The whole thing has a nice Heat Miser Cold Miser dynamic that seems fair to me.  But I didn't see too much of the quid pro quo aspect mentioned in the media - did I miss it?  Just to be transparent I was reprimanded a few times by  authority types about my snowball throwing in 4th and 5th grade but have been clean for the last 50+ years - I always thought that was about average for growing up in Buffalo.

Thats a stupid, immature take. Why risk a severe penalty for throwing snowballs in a close game? Throw snow at each other, in the stands, but not on the field.

You need to finally grow up.

I was just about to start a "snowballs" thread - but more to just express how friggin' embarrassing that was on national TV.  We're not Philly.

I know it was Saturday & fans were drinking, but that was just dopey behavior.  We were lucky to not get a penalty.

i thought Giants stadium was the most infamous snow ball event.

i was at the game….

they announced early on as typical games of not throwing THINGS onto the field

later PA clarified that includes snowballs.

the seats had 6 inches of snow on them so it was there to get taken off. The easiest way to dispose of it is to throw it on the field.  cant control who might decide to get in the way.

My GF sat in the 200’s first row above the boxes and built a snowman on the roof. Security came to yell at her when she put boobs on it, they were cool with the snowman but not the boobs which seemed so dumb.

They came back when she smashed it down in celebration and started questioning whether or not she threw the snowman.

On tv it was a bad look for bills fans. It looked as though fans were throwing snowballs at their own players. After the Morris touchdown was the worst. Why are you throwing snowballs at our team to show your love? Its embarassing, stupid, and makes our community look like a philly/cleveland type of thing on a national stage. The consesus at the bar i watched at was the same. Someone even threw a snowball at the nfl network lady during allens post game interview. So now we are throwing snowballs at women?? As a 15yr season ticket holder i wasnt shocked in the least. The truth is half the crowd is there to get into the game, watch football at the highest level, and support the team. The other half is there to prove their fandom by doing look at me kind of stuff. Its beyond weird.

NO.  Chuck Foreman is winking at all of the idiots

There are always going to be a few jerks who act out at games if given the opportunity.............it only represents the fanbase as a whole to the idiots who don't realize this.

We are talking about a few hundred people out of 60,000+ that threw snowballs.    I didn't see a single person in our section throw a snowball.

And what you forget is that the week after the Chuck Foreman incident in Buffalo there was an uglier incident of throwing objects on the field by Minnesota Vikings fans.
