Hall has the same body type, nearly same production as Jonathan Taylor and similar playing styles. He fits what the Bills want to do. I can’t wait until Thursday. I can’t wait for people to see Hall drafted by us. It will be glorious.

Does this cover you for Rounds 1 thru 7 or just Round 1? Because there are plenty of people who don't dislike Breece Hall the player but dislike the thought of taking him at #25, myself included. I don't have a problem taking him in Round 2. Not so much in Round 1. The argument against him, at least for me, is the value...not the player himself. I have stated previously like some others that I prefer Walker but I wouldn't take him in the 1st either. A RB that early seems to fly in the face of the OBD analytics but we'll know one way or another come Thursday night. He should be there, if they truly want him. Can't see anybody wanting him earlier than that.

I don't get the lust for a WR when we have Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Crowder, and don't sleep on how high on they are of Kumerow. Now factor drafting a WR ...how many touches is he going to get?

Breece Hall ..if drafted by the Bills... will be a guy who can get the ball in his hands 10-15 times a game, factor huge in the passing game and be every bit as electric and influential as any WR on the board.

Plus Singletary is a UFA next year. We know we were high on a pass catching RB to go after McKissic, and the Duke Johnson acquisition was more to replace Breida. Bills basically still have not made a move to make up for that McKissic loss.

Breece Hall makes too much sense....

He likely wont be available when we pick in the second round. We either trade back a few spots or trade up in the 2nd. It doesn’t matter how we do it, I just want him on this team.

There is definitely a possibility that he'll be there at #57 and, if Beane and the front office feel he won't be, what's to preclude them from trading up in the 2nd Round?

I thought Cam was on the outside.  I have no doubt we will draft multiple CBs but I think it's quite possible none will be in the first round.

Cam Lewis is 5'9 and appeared outside once due to injuries to tre and Levi

He appeared in the slot other than that iirc..  started there against Houston

But his play style and build is not suited for an outside cornerback in the NFL.. I would assume he'll be our backup nickel this season

I don't see any Round 1 RB this draft. Harris and Etienne seemed more solid NFL locks last year. As for the top RBs I prefer Walker III to Hall.

I have a feeling CB/S/OL will be Buffalo's first pick this year depending on how the draft falls.

Hall has production and is a solid back. I think it takes him a while to get up to speed, and a bunch of his yards are after contact.

Walker III just seems more explosive and elusive to me. If Hall was the Bills 2nd round pick, I'd be happy to have him here, but I think Walker III will be the better NFL RB.

This is terrible news for the guys hoping for Hall.  if guys inside the bills FO are giving out any info, the info would be better regarded a smoke. imo.  Beane keeps things close to the vest.

Buscaglia did mock Rousseau to the Bills last year so that is interesting. If the Bills want Breece Hall at 25 then they're probably not sweating one bit, nobody else is going to take him before us. Could realistically trade down a few spots and still get him, just need to stay ahead of the Jets and Falcons.

Albert Breer and Simms both believe that Breece will be the Bills pick as well and both of these guys in 18 believed Allen was going to the Bills as well.

Yea, nah.

I've watched Hall play up close against my Oklahoma State Cowboys and while he's good, he's not someone I'm taken back by. Players like Thurman, Barry, AD, Ricky Williams... I was astounded watching. Not so much with Hall. He's good, but Chuba Hubbard (OSU's 2,000+ yard RB from 2019) was better in college IMO and I wouldn't have drafted Hubbard (like Carolina ended up doing).

They went head to head in 2020 with Breece out rushing him. Breece had 20 carries for 185 and a TD. Chuba had 25 carries for 139 and a TD

I dont love Hall at 25, I can get behind Hall at say 33 or 34 though. If we want him I get why they would take him at 25 but there aren't many teams beating down the door for a 1st round RB. Maybe the Jets at 34 take him but beyond that I dont see many teams taking a RB even in round 2 this year. I think a slight move back to even like 30 or 31 and taking him and gaining a pick makes more sense to me.

Like I said earlier, I could see Arizona picking him too. They have no depth behind James Conner

Give me James Cook. RB is not the focus of our offense. Cook gives us speed at a cheaper draft price than Hall.

There are other backs I like in this draft (including Hall), but agreed with this point. Cook is the perfect back for this team because of what he does in the pass game alone.  Icing on the cake that it doesn’t require a first.

I think if there is any of the better corners available at 25 (hoping for Booth), that’s where they go.  If a WR slips, we could go there and I’d love that. I also wouldn’t rule out interior offensive line. Not sexy, but I’ll never be upset if they decide to fortify the line to protect the franchise.

When you play in the garbage defense big 12 it’s definitely not good. As the tweet I posted (that you replied to) said, he was 17th out of 18 big 12 RBs in yards after contact per attempt.

For comparison, Kenneth walker ( 263 carries) averaged 4.44 yards per attempt after contact in a wayyyy tougher conference.

Yeah, I replied because...something don't seem right there.  Is it possible this Joe Marino guy misread a stat?  The Tweet didn't get much traction.  It had a single like and I don't see that stat being mentioned anywhere else.

I assume it came from PFF, who do those type of stats and I don't have a subscription for them.

But according PFF, the guy led the entire NCAA in yards after contact over the past 2 years. In addition, according to PFF, they admiringly point out that Hall broke 74 tackles last year, an increase over 2020.

"2. Breece Hall, Iowa State

BIG BOARD RANK: 57

Iowa State may have taken a step backward, but Hall was as strong as ever in 2021. In fact, he raised his total to 74 broken tackles this season from 63 last year. He’s got an all-around skill set and NFL size at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds."  (Walker broke 89 last season)

https://www.pff.com/news/draft-top-2022-nfl-draft-rankings-running-backs-kenneth-walker-breece-hall-isaiah-spiller-2

So...the guy who led the entire country in YAC over the past 2 years...and who broke more tackles than last season....is also the worst in his own conference in YAC?  Including back ups?

If this anomaly is true, you'd think a stat site like PFF would point out the inconsistency.  You know, something like, "he breaks a lot of tackles, but he trips over his feet every  time he does. "

All I've seen is a single tweet to the contrary.

If the implication is that he is a soft running back...good luck with that. He's no Earl Campbell or Derrick Henry, and it would be foolish to make him play that way.  But he's also not a guy that goes down as soon as he's touched.

But enough of that, I don't want him in the 1st anyway.

The smoke around Hall and Spiller likely means they like Walker or someone else.
