That’s why the game day roster decisions are so frustrating. If you can ONLY play ST…unless you are a kicker/punter or LS, you don’t need to be on the team. STs just means almost nothing at this point. The plays are almost always either meaningless or penalties. It's not "nothing" when games continue to be decided by those plays Special teams plays are "plays" just like offense & defense. You want your best guys on the field in those circumstances, and you want them specially trained to perform those specific duties (which in many cases are very different than their normal Off/Def positions and roles) 4 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Stop dressing guys that only play ST If all 32 teams in the league agreed to place the same identical roster decisions as far as keeping or dressing ST "experts" what you're saying would work great. But as soon as one team ignores the agreement, they may steal a couple of games. BTW ask Green Bay how that worked out. Is a certain irony too that Bojo is their punter as most everyone here was pining for him.
