There are so many bad HC in the NFL. Keep building the program, and a guy who takes you to the playoffs year after year is eventually going to bust through. That’s the difference Didn't hurt, but it's not nearly that simple. Throwing the ball in OT, bouncing it off your WR, and into the hands of a safety coming over to help out a step or 2 late, for an INT helps a lot too. Mahomes had a terrible 2nd half, the Bengals coaching did a great job at halftime, and turnovers went Cincy's way. That all contributed as much as getting pressure on Mahomes. Much of the pressure that got him only got there ridiculously late, b/c the DBs were covering so well.
