Keep your heads in the sand. Anyway, I can't really write what I want as I'll be banned. And you talk of another echo chamber that I'd fit in that censors even more? Ha ha. I thought this was a Bills fan forum, not we had to think a certain way but I've known better for a while now.

I don't care abut Gruden but about all the reasons why it's happening. And anyone with a tiny brain can see this is an hatchet job against him. They leaked one thing, it wasn't enough so they leaked more. Now he resigned. And not one tiny bit of any other emails of his or anyone on the WFT or communicating with them are mentioned. Sure. Nothing to see here. He is a RACIST because that's what the media now say, and there is nothing more to the story. Ban him. Cue Randy Moss crying. I'm out. Flame all you want now in all your righteous moral superiority.

When was Gruden "censored"?

He blasted the refs, commissioner, NFLPA, other owners, beat reporters, select players and dropped racist, homophobic, and misogynist insults.

How is he supposed to do his job now?  First, hes got a lot of damage control to do in the locker room.  Attracting free agents could get dicey.  I'd be worried about the officiating after blasting women officiating.  Those sideline and post game interviews will be a blast after what he's had to say about women covering football.  And he spat in the face of Goodell and team owners, the people who run the league.

If I'm Mark Davis, I'm standing by my guy to the detriment of the team out of some misguided principles concerning censorship.

After the fact will have as many opinions as people giving them.  Many people (myself at times) lose focus.  The issue is Jon Gruden.  After what came out

he could not possibly be a Head Coach in the NFL and command the respect which is needed to be successful in that position from a group

of players that are 2-3 generation younger than he is.

For anyone who wanders with their opinions from that fact (on any side of the issue) misses the reality and makes it about other things.

Keep missing my point. Which is NOT that he resigned or had been fired. How many times do I have to post this? It's that he is smeared way beyond what he wrote with all the racist, anti-women broad brush accusation, and thus no one in any big organisation will ever hire him again. That his punishment greatly exceeds his actions. But that too will pass over your head.

Who are you to say that the punishment is greater than the actions?

If the SpyGate tapes contained hours of Belichick rattling off his list of commissioners, owners, players, beat reporters, NFLPA leaders, and politicians that hes inviting to blow him then they just might have been fit for public consumption.

Oh God please let these emails surface 🙏

You say, "I can't really write what I want as I'll be banned." What could that be? Does that mean you share the same values as Gruden?  Something worse? Go ahead, try out your thoughts, let's see where this goes.

We are quite an assembly of half wits.

We dawdle back and forth on this stuff concerning an already fired coach.  Please, why don't we go another few rounds on the OJ WoF thing, or crucify Shefter in the name of journalistic integrity.

All the while the real villains at the center of this story are still out there, prowling about thinking they got away.

No...no you didn't.  No you didn't, Dan Snyder, WFT and NFL.

Approve censorship if you want. I don't. These emails were so dumb my head hurts ha ha, but they were still made to be private, and while he does make antigay remarks, that's true, most of the other supposedly racists or antiwomen stuff is pouty mouth football/sports talk, stuff that's being going on forever just a few years back in sports, certainly in his days.

Dumb? Oh yes. Now that it's public, he had to "resign"? Sure. But banned from all future announcing jobs, analyst, advisor, coaching, etc. for life? Nope, I don't agree, at all.

Your wrong about the presumption of privacy.  Emails sent to or from an employment related email account, as to Bruce Allen at his WFT email address, are by definition not private and can be read or revealed publicly, as has happened here as a result of on going investigation and litigation.  Making these kinds of remarks to work contacts in writing is beyond stupid. He is too dumb to be employed even if he was not a bigoted arse hole, which he apparently is.  Whether he intended these comments to be private or not is not the issue though.

As for your characterization of his comments as “potty mouthed sports talk”, it is beyond my purview on this site to correct that assumption, so I leave that between you and your God.   I will say that the the larger issue exposed here is how pervasive these attitudes are still.  Good riddance to Gruden as far as I am concerned.

What does this mean? Is there no bigger issue? Please enlighten me as to why this is only about Jon Gruden?

I believe that is his opinion and this is a message board to express just that.

Who are you to comment on his post?

"Who are YOU to comment on THIS post?!?!", he said confidently and unironically, without the slightest idea of what was coming next.

Exactly

He's been asked to explain how censorship is involved here.  Can't or won't.

Yep, This.

Anyone in this age who believes email that originates or ends from a work, school, or government email address is private...has just not been paying attention for the last 2+ decades

Wait, you're defending one guys right to comment on a message board, while asking "who are you to comment" of another guy?

No doubt I would have more respect for him if he would’ve fought back.

Well at the moment more emails are being released and the story of the rest of the emails is starting to take over and could be an even bigger story.  The story of why were they released now is starting to get bigger.  Is the NFL really sitting on thousands of blackmail emails just to use when they see a need?   Gruden is staying quiet for his rep but if he's smart will come out with an apology at the right time.
