This is hot take central, Alpa. And you know I respect you as a poster. Judge the full body of work.

But is it?  Same hot take many had and most Niner fans I know hate Kyle.  Flacons fans still despise him too.  I mean there are countless articles about it, it’s not just my hot take.  Here are hair a couple I quickly grabbed, but there are tons of these.

Even when he got the job, questions were there because of the stupidity of his Atlanta play calling with a massive 2nd half lead against the Pats.

PS:  And you know I also respect you as a poster, so not being a jerk here, just showing you it’s not just my hot take as you put it

I don't trust AZs coach. The other 3 coaches have all coached in the Super Bowl. Kingsbury got fired after having Patrick Mahomes in college

Also they kind of sucked at the end of the year. Their most impressive win was vs Buffalo. After that they lost 3 straight

They lost to the Lions, Panthers and Dolphins (with Tua) and then finished the season 2-5 with wins over the Eagles and the Giants.

Sounds just like the Bills in 2019 before they went 13-3 after their young QB took a big step on year 3.

Except AZ easily has the better defense on paper heading into their QBs third year.

Can't fault him at all.  Go get the cash young man.  I would have been bummed if the Bills paid anything more than 12 mil a year, so no sour grapes here.

Yup. I will never fault a football player for getting every cent they can. I wanted him if the price was right but I didn’t want him at this price.

Arizona went 8-8 playing the NFC East this season.

Kind of loses a little credibility when your complaint about a coach includes the fact he got to the Super Bowl twice.

Well once as a HC, the other as an OC and it was squarely on him for why he lost as an OC with some of the worst decisions in history allowing Pats the chance to rally back from a massive double digit deficit.

Seriously? They are the third best team in their division but for that coin I can see why no one else was going to pay him that

Remember when WE used to have to overpay for free agents?

Well, he won’t have to shovel snow. Have fun in that 130 degrees in the shade!

I get all of this, but he turned SF into a well-oiled dominator in 2019 and oversaw a great Falcons offense in that SB season. Yeah, they lost, but it wasn't as if they lost to bad teams; they were great teams. And the games were obviously extremely close. The 2016 Falcons were #1 overall in offense and the 2019 Niners' offense was #2 in points and #4 in yards. He's doing something right. And let's not forget that both of those teams blew teams out in the playoffs during those SB years. I can't get hung up on one or two plays. With regard to Kingsbury, the Cardinals' showing at the end of this season was beyond pathetic. I guarantee you that if he had done that in Buffalo, the fans on this site would have ridden him out of town on a rail.

I'll never blame any player for choosing a payday over a ring.  NFL careers are short and there's nothing wrong with wanting to make the most of it if you manage to put yourself in a position to earn top dollar.

But yeah, obviously this was never really about going to a contender.  On to free agency.

He's already made over $100M from football alone, not even counting endorsement $$$. If he hasn't managed that well enough to where he needed to chase $23M more then he's in trouble. It just shows that he's more about the $$$ than he is achieving something other than being able to say, "Dude, look at my bank account."
