RyanC883
stupid rule there. that was not targeting. Just now, RaoulDuke79 said: That targeting call is a disgrace to football. targeting should require intent. not simply head contact. the nfl does a better job with this. Tough call.

LabattBlue
That same head down tackle occurs over and over again dozens of times every game. He should not have been ejected.
BuffaloRebound
He lowered his head and drove his helmet into Fields. Dangerous play for both players. Skalski lucky he didn’t get carried off in a stretcher.
RaoulDuke79
Being a Hurricanes fan, I'm not to keen on either of these teams. After that BS, I'm rooting for Clemson. 1 minute ago, BuffaloRebound said: He lowered his head and drove his helmet into Fields. Dangerous play for both players. Clem D is not looking great here. Maybe but he still lowered his helmet and it went straight into Fields’ side with force. If Fields was fine, it probably doesn’t get called. But that was a highly dangerous play and mostly for Skalski. You could see his head get compressed into his neck. That’s how you end up with a Kevin Everett situation.
whatdrought
First time they gave us pads they taught us: Dip, hip, lift, drive. dip: drop your head and lower your shoulders hip: aim your shoulder for the hip of the runner lift: wrap arms around waist and lift drive: follow through and drive your guy into the dirt. 47 was lining up perfectly and The QB spun into him hitting his helmet. Also, me likey the Trey Sermon. I liked him at OU cause I read somewhere that he was a great pass blocker. Now I really like him. LabattBlue
I wonder if Fields is a drama major? Maybe he is a tough SOB, or maybe a bit of an actor. I don’t know how someone can grimace in pain as much as he is, and then come back out and throw strikes, and even take another big lick. The rule is in place to protect the defensive player as well. Edited January 2, 2021 by jkeerie

I don't watch much college football, but he doesn't look like a world changing QB prospect... I came here to say this. A half to go, but he looks very ordinary in what might be his final game at Clemson. Fields, on the other hand, looks like a fierce competitor with a burning desire to win, along with mad talent throwing and running the ball. He looks like a star and a problem. Recent interview with Lawrence revealed he isn't even really an NFL fan -- HUGE red flag if you ask me. It seems like he does football because he's good at it. 3 minutes ago, RaoulDuke79 said: Can't wait for him to be a Jet. I don't watch much college football, so interested to hear more. BuffaloRebound
Clemson’s defense doesn’t look like it has much NFL talent. They normally have 1st rounders all over the place. zow2
Fields looks very impressive tonight. He kind of got the Justin Herbert treatment this year, but you can see the skills. He has wheels too. Lawrence is good obviously. but you never know how much is him and how much it’s all the great talent around him? Both guys can throw, are accurate and can run. so that’s the kind of QB the NFL teams are looking for.

Yup kinda heard enough from know it all Dabo. Really put his kids in bad position w his mouth and arrogant approach. OS has looked much more fired up all game and Fields and OC dominating. Dabo moving into Saban territory as most annoying coach. Saban’s continued harassment of announcers is unacceptable.
