BuffaloBills1998
Read a tweet where Allbright stated to keep an eye on the Jets pursuing Roman to be the new HC after they fire Gase. What are your thoughts?

MJS
That's months ahead. Any speculation now is just dumb. And they'll be competing with other teams that may want him.
TheElectricCompany
That would be premature, but I'd love seeing Gregg Williams blowing hot air again. Gase will build a championship contender - he just needs more time! Edited September 30, 2020 by TheElectricCompany
H2o
The Ravens would become the 49ers after Roman offensively. To me, it would also mean that the Jets might be more interested in Justin Fields when draft time rolled around especially if they don't end up with the #1 pick. I wouldn't be that concerned with the hire like he is immediately going to turn the team around, but he would definitely be a better option than Gase. If the Jets actually had a competent FO, which we all know they don't, they would be targeting Eric Bienemy.
LeviF
We can sneeze at it but Roman and Lawrence could be a good combination. That's, of course, with the big IF: if they can put together a decent roster.
Paulus
Well, most anything is better than the cokehead version of Rex Ryan.

Lawrence may not declare if the Jets are the front runners for his services, I mean, seriously, Gase is one thing, but building a competitive team is not a strength for the Jets as a franchise

Seems appropriate since it could be the funeral for Gase as HC of NYJ.
thenorthremembers
The Jets can hire Vince Lombardi for all I care. I just dont want them drafting Trevor Lawrence.
thebandit27
The Fritz Pollard Alliance will have a field day of Roman gets the job 4 months from now—what minority candidate could possibly be considered anything but a token interview if they already knew who they wanted in September?
