That's just for Thursday Night Football.

This week is NFL Network only. I believe you can stream it to your phone using the NFL app and watch the ball as a pixel but don't take my word for that.

The $15 for Sling Blue for a month seems a low price to watch on my TV.

I pay for the same reasons I pay for music.

I'm not on a high horse here. I've viewed pirated content before. But it's not right so I try to avoid it unless I suddenly find myself unable to see a game and can't find an alternative. This thread was meant to give people a heads up to alternatives.

living in the south leaves me no choice. I'm going to watch my bills and I see no reason to pay if I don't have to.

I'm sure they wont miss that little chump change I'm saving.

Most weeks the NFL Network games are also available on another channel (Fox?). Is that not happening this Saturday?

Only in the local markets.

What really stinks is that Rochester and Syracuse were considered "local" markets for blackouts back when they blacked out games if they weren't sold out, but were not considered local markets for carrying games. Believe the blackout radius was 90 miles, the radius for carrying games was 60 miles.

Sling TV is $15 a month, but they’re offering 40% off the first month. That means it will cost you $9 and you can cancel after that. You’ll need to choose the blue package.was

I will double-check when I get home, but I don't think that's accurate because I've been prompted by Prime to watch other games. However, since I'm not positive I won't say definitively. If I can remember, I'll look tonight and update this post with new information. Best of luck regardless!

From this link at Amazon, it looks like they just show Thursdays, NFL Network shows its other ones only itself. I found this on other sites too.

Sling Orange base price is $15 but it doesn't have NFL Network. You need to get Sling Blue for $25 and with the discount it's $15.

I almost made that mistake.

Why would Fox carry an AFC game to begin with?

CBS and Fox do cross-flex games sometimes and carry a game from the other conference. Also, NBC in my area is showing LA Rams at SF this Saturday, in addition to NFL Network.

Yahoo will be streaming it as they do all national televised games. But i think only on mobile devices -- you could always screen mirror to your TV.

Or go to any sports bar.

Don't they usually block it from being able to be screen mirrored? I know through verizon on the NFL app they do.

I was watching football on a Sunday on NBC in the late 80's in Rochester. The Bills were the late, 4 PM game. The first game ran late, and NBC there was not allowed to switch to the start of the Bills game, since Rochester is considered a secondary market. In Buffalo, NBC switched. I was furious.

Well, I've got my cell phone and the yahoo sports app, so I can get it on my phone.  Any of you techno-wizards out there know how to hook up your cel phone to the TV?

You could but it would be a terrible image because of the resolution change.

Same. I subscribe to Sunday ticket, game pass Hulu and amazon prime. Yet there is still a game I can’t fricken watch wothout one more hoop to jump through. It’s irritating

100000%

The NFL knows how to maximize its revenue with all these deals.

Screen mirror and using cell data have nothing to do with one another. You connect to the TV with Bluetooth.

It will be a terrible viewing experience.

I screwed up and signed up to serve at 5:30 Mass this Saturday.  I was going to try to get a sub but felt like that might be a bad omen.  I wonder if I can rig up a small ear piece and feed the Sirius XM feed while at Mass?

call in sick with a fever of 103 ...  then by a MIRACLE you sere better by 8 PM

How would it be terrible? With 4G LTE i stream HD with zero issues. And i just have Metro that rides on TMobile cheap cheap.

Obviously it's not the same as TV quality from satellite or fios but he's already short on options.

Blowing up the image from your phone to your TV will not yield an acceptable result. Try it out. Maybe you'll be OK with it but I'd be surprised.

For streaming video? Good luck

AirPlay is absolutely WiFi as is chromcast, as are most smart tv mirriorung native apps.

News to me Bluetooth has the continuous bandwidth to support streaming video well. You might want to patent that.

Most of the attempts out out there are clunky and low resolution jittery buffering trash. But it sounds like you’re on to something!

Bandwidth to screen mirror will probably be OK. Quality, I suspect, will be abysmal.

I asked this in the Map thread but haven't an answer yet.

What local Buffalo Network is the game on?

I get Buffalo's CBS, NBC and FOX but not ABC from my "provider".

I would like to watch the local feed over the NFLN feed.

Was informed it's on ABC.  I'll use the CBS from Boston as a backup if needed.

So they've had training camp in Rochester for 20 years and they won't simulcast the game in the Rochester area??? asinine. I have a friend in LeRoy which is about 10 - 15 miles closer to roch than buff, but they get  the buffalo stations on their sat package

Thanks Stosh that's what I heard.  I like to have a backup station in case I have issues with my "provider" NFLN feed.

I'll use the Boston CBS feed (which is weird that it's on CBS in Boston and ABC in Buffalo) as a backup.

Maybe 3.0 and beyond. Bandwidth is typically a key driver of video quality

If your phone screen is lower res than the TV, even assuming zero bandwidth issues, a compression software will expand the output stream from the phone and double or more each pixel, which will blur edges and make the video look blocky. I am curious to hear a review though, as I've not done this in a few years.

I’m sure your right about the up conversion issue.

Im also of the opinion Bluetooth streaming in general isn’t ‘worked out’ yet.

Frquenly used for steaming audio, rarely used for streaming video. Maybe on the latest top end stufff it works.

Yeah. I've streamed from Bluetooth for still images with great results. Anything else has been laggy and poor.

Maybe it was through wifi signal then when i did it in a pinch, but i can tell you with certainty I've mirrored to a tv on cell data and it wasn't that bad, not HD but not horrible. Or you watch it on your phone HD... Regardless it's certainly an option for someone where the alternative is no game or radio.

Personally I'd just go to a sports bar/restaurant bar.
