How cold will it be in upper bowl on Sunday

Just wondering what to pack. I’ve never been there this late in the season before.

It's warmer inside the stadium, thanks to 73000 bodies. It will likely be damp, and that dampness will cut right through you. If you are tailgating, wear wool socks, and sweaters, and a warm hat with ear protection. Bring a pair of gloves. Hand, and foot warmers are a good idea, just in case. I wore a body warmer for the last home game, and it helped a lot. Stopping the wind is key.

Bring too many clothes. You can always remove the hoodie, or a sweater, if it gets too warm.

All of this is likely overkill, but I can recall being at a game where my clothing was insufficient for the conditions, and you are no longer paying real attention to the game at that point.

the best was always a wrap in garbage bags and after an hour standing up and letting the ice crystallize and fall off me

During a playoff game against the Jets (or Raiders?) in the early 1990's, I wore a couple of wool sweaters, and 3 oversize coats. I pulled a sleeping bag over me, and had a garbage bag pulled over the sleeping bag to keep it dry. I was toasty warm.(Had a couple of Labatt Blue's stashed in the sleeping bag)  This was a playoff game, and at the time, it was the fourth coldest NFL game in history. Game time temp was around 0ºF. Wind chill way below that...

The wind can cut you to the bone. Layer up big time I’d say. It’s gonna be cold.

Sit on the correct side of a fat guy! It sucks on a plane, but could help here. 😋

I agree with the earlier comment to keep your feet warm. I’m almost always in sneakers, but I might take a safer approach on this one. Keeping the feet warm was part of the fun back in the day when you could still bring in your own hot bullion in a thermos. Layers of clothes, and newspapers stuffed in our boots.

I miss the days when we could bring bags into the stadium. I have a Bills duffel that I would bring every game. It had all sorts of stuff in there so depending on how the weather might change before/during the game, I could add or take off layers.

The temperature at game time will be 39 degrees with wind from the SE at 10-15 mph.  It will be a bit chilly in the upper deck!  Have a good time!

don’t wear shorts and a tanktop... unless you have a couple additional layers to wear over it, that is!

or you are  one of those few people who get wasted!

Not true.

You are closer to the sun up there.

OP, shorts and a tank should be sufficient.

I brought a garbage bag filled with old newspapers to try to keep my feet warm.  The game was on 1/15/94 with a minus 32 windchill -You were right, it was zero degrees. I knew it was against the Raiders, but I looked up the exact date and windchill in Relentless.

for road trip years of College/NFL weekends it was amazing to find Cleveland and Buffalo rarely coincided for bad weather, most of the time was lucky to have the nicer of the two to sit at

As long as you layer up (remember, jeans THEN spray paint), you’ll be fine.

Yup. There was a Jets game in there somewhere, that had about the same horrific conditions. Thanks for the memory jog, Harv!

true... I feel like each beer heats the ambient temperature surrounding your body by two degrees or so

The Jets game was 3 weeks earlier on 12/26/93.  Once again going back to Relentless, the game was the coldest Bills game ever at the time but that status changed with the Raiders game 3 weeks later.  The temperature was 9 above with a minus 28 windchill.
