Can we attract elite WRs here with Josh

Recommended Posts

Yes or no....discuss.   EDIT:  I think they can and WRs should want to.  But I think uncertainty with Josh going into this season might have prevented something more from happening (AB? which worked out).  I think this is important going into next season bc it can't just be hinging hopes to a rookie.  We need more.

By elite I know they don't just become available via free agency.

But more likely in trade....and then they'll need an extension.  That's the more likely scenario.

Well brown is on pace for a career year and the team is 6-3 so I doubt he’s regretting his decision to come here....

Easy. Draft one, and pay another some money. The Bills currently have two WRs that belong on an NFL roster and one of them is a slot WR.

Brown and Beasley are still on pace for one of their better overall seasons.

Money talks.  I would also say it depends on their play style obj would hate it here, but Landry or Keenan Allen would probably have a 100 catches on this roster.  Allen can’t hit the deep ball to save his life,  but he’s pretty good at hitting crossing routes and slants.  Guys who are good in space and after the catch would do well.  Honestly that whole draft class besides Lamar has looked bad outside a handful of games between them.

Elite players are rarely traded too

And Josh has made John brown look better than he has since he had Carson Palmer in Carsons best season

He has delivered strikes to Knox all season , sometimes he catches it and sometimes he doesn't

He has Beasley on Pace for his best TD season...

He's making players around him better

What free agent wide receiver with options would in his right mind decide to come here and watch long throws sail 20 yards over his head time after time?

This is why you go through a rebiuld and clear 80 million going into next offseason.....

Meanwhile....Brown and Beasely are getting balls to them just fine.....but they are actually NFL talent wide receivers

Need a receiver just a notch better then Brown to pair with those two

Coach says they don’t need them, so...what’s the point of this thread?

YES.

As others have noted Brown & Beasley are having excellent seasons and the Bills are winning.  And the draft is packed with great, impact receivers.

As an aside, I believe that if Allen was behind center for the Browns and Mayfield was QBing the Bills the final score would have been Cleveland 34 Buffalo 13.   IMO Mayfield under performed given the talent at wide out and in the back field he has.

Yup, wont be a problem at all. To think other wise is foolish and ignorant.

Also, during Brown's Arizona days, he had Fitz opposite taking pressure off the top.  Right now, we don't have that.

This. Good WRs go against the ways of the process...

yep money will make anyone come.  I'd love to see them get a man on man buster we have good zone busters at the moment but need a 50/50 guy that attacks the ball when you get the man on man looks
