Joeziehmer
https://und.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1612 A good pickup at center whose a little short at 6’3 and lighter at 306 but who has excelled in the defensively heavy draft. Covers ground well, does good at calling line schemes, and looks like a guy whose motor and production would only increase. If we build around youth I’d take Sam as a long term offensive lineman.
CuddyDark
He's not short or light. That's the perfect size for a C. 1
BubbaT
I think we desperately need a better center than what we have on the roster now. I am hoping this is a priority in the offseason or draft.

When you could have someone like Mustipher fall to you in the later rounds take advantage of it. From looking at Notre Dame and how hard he fights not to give up on plays or allow for tackles for losses or sacks; have him at a bargain basement price. John from Riverside
I feel that the first priority should be a veteran NFL center and not asking a rookie to fix our OL issues there. Wood made the OL calls when he was here......get a guy that will help Josh Allen progress. Nothing wrong however with drafting a OL that can play guard and center with one of our 10 picks however We need this OL to improve like NOW or at least in the offseason

Pirate Angel
I don't think bodine has been all that bad, having ducasse and miller as guards was a nightmare. Teller looks like he's going to man the left for awhile, miller desperately needs to be replaced..I'm calling Bodine and Mills a wash, neither are good, both are somewhat serviceable. Considering you can't have allstars across the board I'd rather improve at tackle than center
RyanC883
I'd get a Vet center, keep Bodine as a backup C/G, and draft one of the top 2 centers.

Draft a C and LT in first 3 rounds. Teller improves and 1 FA stud. All stars across the board.

blacklabel
I tend to think that OL might be something they look to fix in free agency rather than the draft. I understand they wanna build thru the draft as much as possible but OL is a position with a steep learning curve from college to the pros. All these guys play in offenses where they rarely line up with their hand in the dirt. Even the highest rated OL prospects are gonna need some substantial time to acclimate to the game at the NFL level. If they go thru free agency then they get a guy who already has NFL experience and would only need to adapt to the blocking schemes that the Bills use. But of course I'm not opposed to them going OL at some point in the draft. This kid has the ideal McBeane qualities, senior (actually a grad student), has plenty of experience, seems to be high character. Yeah, I'm sure he'll be on their board somewhere. As time goes on I am becoming more and more torn on what I want to do in free agency. I was total Jonah at LT and moving Dawkins to LG and Teller to RG but......DJ Metcalf is very intriguing to me......the guy is not just a huge physical freak WR he also runs in the 4.4 range and looks like he will fight for a ball.........maybe the correct answer here at the end of the day would be Say we draft around 8 and the draft plays out with defensive talent being the premium - Trade down picking up an additional 2nd and 4th pick Metcalf in the 1st Tight end in second Offensive linemen in the second Pass rusher/LB in the 3rd

Center is a question mark, Bodine can cut it but not by much and Groy isn't who they thought he could be. Don't know if they still see John Miller in the mix and again, I don't think Jordan Mills has been too bad this season, but I think his contract is up after this season. I'm sure he'd consider staying here if the Bills offered him an extension. So, maybe C and RG is something they need to create competition for. Looking at Carolina's draft history while Beane was there and they drafted a tackle in the mid-late first a couple of times but they mostly took OL players in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounds. It's just gonna depend on how the board falls to them. Defense is definitely where the value is this year and Beane has already alluded to the fact that a defensive player could be their first overall pick. I don't know if he's kind of trying to foreshadow things for us so half the fan base doesn't lose their marbles when they pick a DT or a CB first lol. I mean, if you look at any big board right now, if it's 32 or 50 players at least 65% of it is defense. Beyond that, the DL prospects are stacked this year and in years past in Carolina, they would spend their first round pick on DL despite already having a very good d-line. There's no problem with adding to a strength though. Kyle may retire after this season and yeah, I think Harrison Phillips can play well but I'm not sure if they see him as the full-time replacement for Kyle just yet so they may be intrigued with taking one of these top DT prospects. I like Metcalf too but if the Bills end up in the top ten picks, they'd have to trade down the board a little ways before considering Metcalf with their first round pick since the value just wouldn't be there in the first ten or even the first 20-25 picks, that's how many good defensive players are available. There aren't any first round running backs and at the end of the day I think we see maybe two or three receivers go in the first. Gonna be an interesting off-season, that's all I can say.
