WOW!

I got my wife a classical guitar for her birthday (easier on her fingers). It must have been the wrong kind, because it doesn’t sound anything like that!

RIP

I wonder how that escaped me. The guy was ridiculously talented! I had no idea, didn’t even recognize his name.

I never owned any of his records, but I always stopped to watch and listen whenever he was on television. He had some wonderful appearances on the old Tonight Show with Carson. His abilities and performances crossed many genre boundaries. You can tell when someone loves what they do.

Dang. I was listening to Roy Clark and Glen Campbell playing Ghost Riders in the Sky just yesterday.

Thanks for posting this. Glenn Campbell also has a seat at the table of guitar immortals. One of the most requested studio artists of all time and that was before got famous as a solo artist. Nothing he couldn’t play.

One of the greatest renditions of “Malaguena” ever. Just...amazing.

The smart thing for you to do is admit your mistake to her.  Think of something sincere like "Gee honey, I'm so sorry I got you the wrong guitar.  After hearing what one is supposed to sound like I feel like an idiot because yours sound nothing like it."

RIP Roy and salute!
